Eaglefan9727-- "Prove it to a community that believes the gay lifestyle is not a choice." There's no "belief" involved. It's already been proven that sexual orientation IS NOT CHOSEN and cannot be changed. "I chose to be straight when I was growing up as a kid and I didnt try having sex with a man." Lie. NOBODY chooses their sexual orientation. Being gay is not caused by "trying to have sex with a man." Being gay is about being attracted romantically and physically to people of the same sex. "After the way I have seen the gay community act over the last few years and stealing the votes from the will of the people in California." They didn't "steal" anything any more than blacks "stole" slavery. The voters do NOT have the right to deny basic equality to others with an election. "I wouldnt help them out at all if it was their last hope." Making you a bigot. "And the gay community doesnt have a right to dictate what a "so called" right is to the american people." Dumbocrat Hater--"I suggest you pick up a Bible and read it from cover to cover. God descibes homosexuals as "Wicked" and "Detestable "." Lie. Homosexuals are never described by ANYONE in the Bible, much less by God. This is just plain made up, the blasphemous sin of making up scripture to promote hate and bigotry. "In the book of Levitcus, he describes these people a s"VOMIT" !" Again, a bald-faced lie. Homosexuality is never mentioned in Leviticus, nobody's "vomit" is described, and God didn't write Leviticus, either. "Wake your brain up and accept Christ while you still have a chance!" A fine thing, but not remotely related to homosexuality. Plenty of gay people are Christian, and there's nothing Christian about your hate and homophobia. "GOD also says we need to protect our children from people like you with your evil thoughts! Keep your filthy nasty self to your self." Actually we need to protect our children from people like YOU with YOUR evil thoughts. Your hate and bigotry is evil and destructive, and trying to blame it on God with made-up scripture is worse. "Gays have no rights!" Lie. They should have exactly the same rights as everyone else. "Obama can't protect them from GOD!!!!!" Knowing Dr. Hamilton, personally, having heard her many times, having heard the previous president of NARTH, Dr. Joseph Nicolosi several times at Love One Out, on the radio, read his material and on CDs...I have never interpreted "Conversion Therpay" from that." Conversion therapy is a PROVEN lie and it's EXACTLY what you're claiming, the false idea that a person who is homosexual can magically become heterosexual, can "leave behind" the "homosexual life." Nicolosi and NARTH are hate groups with ZERO scientific credibility. their "research " on the topic has NEVER ONCE been published in a peer-reviewed journal. Not a single time. "I have however, heard them mention "re-orientati on therapy" Perhaps this is more palpable than conversion." No, it's cheap word games, all for the same destructive lie. "I disagree completely on both accounts. That you cannot change orientation and that it's inborn. I'm living proof!" Lie. Both are proven facts, and the only thing you've "proven" is that you've been very deeply brainwashed into repeating the same lies over and over again. You WERE born gay, and you have NOT changed your orientation. Nobody ever has. "Gay or confined as a nun. What sad options." More hate. You pretend you don't hate, then you spread MORE hate. Those are NOT sad options, there's not a thing wrong or sad about being gay. I agree that your sick option of celebacy is sad. Those ARE the only choices for gay people, however. "I can tell you, sister, that there is VICTORY in Jesus Christ." Don't you DARE blaspheme our savior by calling your despicable destructive lies victory in Jesus Christ. "He has redeemed me and MANY others who have chosen to surrender and realized that we are helpless before our fleash." The same lies over and love again. Being gay is no more about "flesh" than being heterosexual. You only "surrendered " to hate groups and lies, not to Christ. "If we're going to make it, we need Him and the family of god He sorrounds us with." Sadly instead of finding REAL family of God you found hate groups who exploit God to promote thier own bigotry and hate. There ARE people who truly surround gay people with God's love in open and affirming churches, including many outstanding homosexual ministers...whom your hate groups viciously attack and hate more than any other gay person. "My goal is to encourage and challenge you not attack, accuse or condemn." You want to "encourage " and "challenge " people into a trap of destruction. "Did you stop attending that Baptist Church which led you to Christ?" One can hope. NOBODY should go to a church that tells them God's rejecting them because they happen to be gay. Not every Baptist church teaches this but many do. A person is better off never setting foot in a church than being in a church promoting those hateful lies. "Did you continue attending Bible studies? Are you presently reading His Word?" Which never says a single THING about homosexuality, but DOES tell us to treat others the way we'd want to be treated. "I hope my convictions don;t come across as mean either." They do. You're leading to misery and destruction and horrible pain and suffering for people, helping NOBODY. not a SINGLE person is the slightest bit better off from your hate groups' and your advertising for them. You've been taught to act very sweet and kind, but you might as well carry a bat around and beat up gay people, it would be better for them then the damage your hate groups cause. "To share my testimony and tell others that God loves them and wants to forgive them is NOT hate, pal." Nor is that your "testimony " at ALL, liar. You're saying homosexuality can be 'cured' which is hate and is a lie. "It's because I care deeply for Christians in the gay community and those who struggle in silence that I'm on here." Lie. You are on here to try to trap more gay people in the same trap you're in, to destroy more lives, and to further the ONLY goal of these hate groups--TO MAKE BIGOTRY AND HOMOPHOBIA ACCEPTABLE BY PROMOTING THE PROVEN LIE THAT GAY PEOPLE CAN MAGICALLY 'CURE' THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND THAT IT IS A 'SIN' TO BE GAY. "I want to encourage them and let them know about my testimony and that of many others." Your "testimony " is proven lies which destroy the lives of countless young gay people and contribute to hate and self-loathing, and drive thousands AWAY from the church and the love of God. Plenty of openly gay people lead rich productive joy filled lives in Christ. You COULD have, but chose instead to live a destructive life spreading hate and lies and disgracing and shaming Christ. "If you grant it to one you must grant it to all correct? " Of course not. "Fortunately we have people who are part of society that says all of these examples are wrong for a myraid of reasons." "Then are you willing to accept the responsibility that all other groups will cash in on your victory?" None of these groups are affected in the least by marriage equality for gay people. Thanks" Upon looking for the article I misstated the numbers, it is in fact ONLY over 2000 per year--still a shocking and inexcusable number. And if you want links, CNN/NBC/CBS ect would be fine, NPR better...Fox is not. Fox is not a legitimate news source, it's a right wing propoganda machine. Most are perfectly willing to work, and a great percentage of those "bums" are suffering from mental illness. A good number are also military veterans. "Good, I'm glad I made you FEEEEEEL better." This isn't about my money, it's about our society, which has plenty of resources that NOBODY should go without housing or food or medical care, yet thousands die every year without them, all because of the selfishness of hateful thugs like yourself. I've worked for a long time in non-profits, and the idea that charity can even come vaguely close to meeting the need in this nation is fantasy of the highest order. And trust me, there is NOTHING about it in the constitution. The Constitution does NOT promise you the right to become obscenely wealthy while others starve. We already have, nations with single payer systems are vastly better, more efficient, and healthier nations.
