Clarksburg sees spike in daytime break-ins
I guess the town shouldn't have cut so much out of the police budget...and I understand one of the officers was let go recently for his own troubles... (Friday Nov 13 | post #70)

Barrett ousted -- Alcombright wins
Another election won with image and no substance...good luck, North Adams, you are going to need it... By the way, Joe Artisto... "Mr Alcombright, this city can become Great Barrington under your leadership....here we go!" Uh, have you been paying attention? Great Barrington is becoming more and more crime-ridden, drug-infested, and ugly. Be careful what you wish for. (Nov 3, 2009 | post #10)
Drury-Hoosac rivalry prompts tighter security
Kind of a one-sided story, don't you think? Where is the Drury side of the story? I recall a couple of years ago that the Hoosac students came and painted a male organ on the center of the Drury football field. You made it sound like Drury students are the only vandals here. A more civil engagement this time around
"Given the weather, only a few hearty souls ventured out to the park to experience the lifestyle of 17th Century soldiers from what was still the bloodiest war in U.S. history." Gee, I did not know the American Civil War was fought in the 1600's. They were 19th century soldiers. ...and very few sat around the campfire eating beef stew. It was more like cornbread, hardtack, a hunk of bacon or pork, and if they were lucky, some coffee. (Oct 4, 2009 | post #1)
Workers strongly support new union
SEIU is also the security force our great and benevolent leader Lord Obama is using to quell any troublemaking Nazis at the current string of town hall meetings on healthcare around the empire. Take a Google about the SEIU. You'll be surprised how much you don't know about them. (Aug 20, 2009 | post #5)
Can anyone vouch for the integrity and reputation of the landowners? How about their characters? My guess is that they left A LOT out of their side of the story. Also, from what I understand, local kids on Facebook were talking about a kegger at this home in the days leading up to it. (Jul 9, 2009 | post #19)

Northern Berkshire Healthcare Labor board files charges
Unions continue to destroy the country. Do some research on the SEIU. It might open your eyes to what a sleazy entity it really is. I still laugh every time one of you pro-union boneheads say that you want the union because it will enable you to take better care of the residents. IT'S ABOUT THE MONEY, AND YOU ARE NOT FOOLING ANYONE! (Jul 7, 2009 | post #11)
If they can make the cuts and there will be no diminishment in services, it sounds to me like they were overstaffed to begin with. (Jul 7, 2009 | post #3)
Shaped the town? Williamstown was there for 200 years before they invaded the town in the 50's. Such a glowing story. You know what it really brings to the town? Traffic congestion, a bunch of snot nosed interns who think their stuff doesnt stink, and a revolving door of B and C List "celebrities " who wouldn't give you the time of day if you asked. As you may be able to surmise, I have no use for the "Festival. " (Jul 2, 2009 | post #1)
