Hey there Lab. Long time. Anyway, there was a thrift store in that building called The Pit Stop. I drive by that building every day. I don't know if it was actually doing business or had shut down. Maybe we are getting the minimum information from the SS that it was empty meaning there were no people in it. Who knows. I didn't go into the store, so I was just offering my observation on it all. Well, let's see, just because she was found in the lake might not have meant that she drowned. If it had been a homicie she could have been killed in another manner and dumped there, making the death NOT a drowning, etc. They were letting you know that she did, in fact, drown and now they are investigating under what circumstances. JAT - On the contrary. I have a high regard for teachers. I am usually the one on these threads sticking up for them while most others put them down. I think it's disgusting how poorly they are treated and paid due to how important and difficult their job really is. It disheartens me that you are a teacher BECAUSE of the way you act on here. Thankfully I don't judge everyone based on the one rotten one in the group. As for the rest that both of you posted. I was the first one who was spoken to with insults. So that is my reaction. I will not repeat again. JAT, you are the one who responded to me first. I never wrote to you, but you felt it necessary to write to me and jump all over me. So again, that IS the reaction you will get when you treat others that way? Lastly, it is apparent that you two really are just angry people. There is nothing that you two have responded to me that has been anywhere near productive. Even when I tried to be adult with you, JAT, and explain my situation that you questioned, I got the response of a 12 year old. It is just obvious to me that you really didn't understand much of what I was trying to say in the beginning, nor did you want to. You are here to fight and call people names and pick on people with hearing disabilities by saying over and over that it is not true. And that is your perogative. However, it is MY perogative to realize that trying to speak reason with the likes of the two of you is hopeless. You constantly say "have you read your stuff" blah blah. It is obvious VOR, you cannot take responsiblity for your actions regarding my very first post to you. I DID read my stuff and everything was what was deserving based on your comments back. Haha. How cute. You actually read my profile page? I haven't read that thing since I signed up. But I appreciate your curiosity. Maybe I should have put every action has an equal and opposite REaction. That way you could understand why people respond the way that they do. I went back and read my stuff. I, in no way was rude or confrontational when I first started posting. If someone is rude to me, I tend to react in that manner in response. I think most people would agree with that. LMAO! First, you didn't say you doubted my poor hearing, you said I should be thankful that is the only disability I have. After your smarmy attitude before that, there was no reason not to take that as smarmy and rude as well. In response to your doubt; I'm sorry but I'm not one of those people that come on here and just lie to make a point. Yes, I am 50% deaf. I had an ear drum burst as a child. I was also in the music business for a number of years without protecting the hearing that I did have so it has deteriorated since my childhood. I have posted this particular information in other topics too so I didn't make anything up for this story. I will definitely be wearing a hearing aid before I am 40 years old. Right now, I'm kind of fighting it, however I have realized more and more that I cannot hear a person unless they are standing right in front of me and I know they are speaking to me, I'm reading lips while someone speaks more and more, the TV is on volume 100 and so on and so forth. So there you go. You can believe what you want as that is your right. I just happen to have a good attitude about it all. Everyone has something they have to deal with, that's mine.
