Childrens Clothes

I am a mother of 2 a 16 year old girl and a 6 year old boy as you can tell there are no hand-me-downs. I have a small group of friends and family that trade and share clothes. We are looking for people to join our group and save money on clothes. I read in a magezine where 1 mother started a monthly social,it was a pot luck where parents in here area brought old clothes to trade.I think this is a great idea,and a good chance to socialise with others in the area.I would love to hear your comments.  (Saturday Nov 7 | post #1)

Yes there are many more places in much more poverty like Detroit,I just can't belieave this small town could be like this . I grew up in Boston MA,so I have seen it bad I must of been in La La land when I thought of small towns where people said hello and smiled at one another.But anger is most of what I see, an never have I met so many people out of work an I know the economy is in the toilel but is any one trying to do any thing about jobs here? loan shark they are.the government allowing them to do what they want is why everyone bankrupts the economy is in the shitter .Credit cards, some one said poor shmucks we will give them the gold card knowing they can't pay it off each month and fill our pockets for the rest of there lives.If people don't have the income to pay and the bank knows don't give it to them.Some peolpe need saved from themselves.All I am saying is set laws so you can't give credit to some one who can't afford it.The guy who was a house payment,2 car payments, a motercycle payment taxes an insurance on every thing an 4 kids.He doesn't need another loan ,he needs the guy at the bank to show him how to consolidate everything on a lower interets instead of figuring how they can make more mony off of him.  (Sep 3, 2008 | post #26)

Do you have a veggie garden?

This is my first year setting up a garden but I am very discuraged I started my plants in the house being advised by my sister who has a beautiful veggie garden for years.My starts all died before I could get them in the ground.(witch should of been a sign to me that I wasn't cut out for gardening) So then I went and bought plants at wayside nursery.Being my first year an not knowing what the plant should look like or what I was doing I trusted that what the tag said was true.My tomato plant (beef steak)are coming in green but will not turn red.My cherry tomatos are yellow and do not match the tag. The 3 green pepper plants I planted only 2 are green peppers the other one is some kind of HOT PEPPER? I water an miracle grow every 2 weeks like the package says.My sister is to bussy canning her huge garden to talk to never mind not wanting to tell her I can't do it being the older sister. Did anyone read todays newspaper?

We can't post signes in there yards we can't tell them they can't live there.We can't let our children out of our sight who broke the law.Why does it feel like we are being punished.I think they gave up there rights when they broke the law.Law makers need to prioritise these offenders have stiffer punishments for drug crimes than child preditors there is nothing more important in this world than our kids.  (Aug 27, 2008 | post #10)
