That actually sounds cheap to me - they must be going to the diviest 4 star hotels and bars and drinking crap wine. But, I am from Perth - so .... (Aug 13, 2012 | post #4)
Yes, a loser in life - and so kills himself and innocents and goes out a mass murdering f*ckhead. What a wanker. (Aug 10, 2012 | post #8)
Well, yes - but that was AFTER Indira had been giving Sikhs and others pushing for independence a hard time and then desecrated the Golden Temple in Operation Blue Star where the army invaded during a religious festival. Think Italy sending the army into the Vatican during Easter services to assasinate the Pope. (Aug 9, 2012 | post #179)
I doubt anyone would invade from the West - yes - they'd gain or shut down a lot of mineral exploration, but then all they'd get is Perth. Having massively tipped their hand they'd have to march across the Nullabor to face whatever resistance we can muster to f*ck them up along the way. Australia's probably too big to take over effectively unless the enemy has a LOT of men in boots and well oiled logistics. (Aug 9, 2012 | post #335)
At different stages of development - doesn't mean unequalThe unthinking, ready to kill for it hardcore white supremacists - the true believers - they're absolutely losers. They sacrifice their lives to hate, because they've got nothing else - and they can't stand it. Anyone who's got something even remotely worthwile in their lives will find a way to dealPolar opposite... such people are actually happy and keen to spread it around. The danger with them is that they lose themselves up their own arses at times and guilt trip people to suck all the fun out of life. Still - it's usually just a teenage stage and is still markedly preferred to mass murdering f*ckheadsFights? Or murders??? People are only asked to have racial TOLERANCE no-one asks you to love anyone- we know you're not capable. (Aug 9, 2012 | post #9)
Casual weekend white supremacists maybe - but they're OLD and are dying out. The following generation(s) of middle class are actually educated on such matters. No - the true white supremacist hardcore are those who can't function well enough to even BE middle class - which is part of the backdrop of their inferiority complex. The TRULY hardcore of the hardcore have some deep seated personal issues or psychosis that make them unable to look at themselves in the mirror and have to place the blame and loathing on something or someone else. Van Tongren - leader of the Australian National Party - Perth self styled Nazis. Guy was 4 ft 5 in heels, was a mediocre Vietnam vet and apparently had a Vietnamese grandparent. Guy was a twisted mess of fear and loathing. (Aug 9, 2012 | post #6)
By all accounts Page was a drunk, bludger who had little contact with his family - was demoted and fired from jobs, lost his girlfriend and his house. Personally, I'm sure that he was a whinger who couldn't face up to the fact that he was a loser and wanted to blame others. Hate is self hate... Really - aren't all those who hate so much they want to murder innocents just desperately unhappy people full of self loathing - who can't deal with being shunned by normal functioning human beings. (Aug 8, 2012 | post #1)
Still haven't sobered up, huh? Or are you always this bad at expressing yourself in English? See the previous post... (Aug 8, 2012 | post #38)
Meh... It's still got to be said that Page had been a white supremacist for decades before wigging out and massacring innocents. I think it's more telling that his life was basically f*cked and had lost connections with family, girlfriends, had his house repossessed, lost his jobs and was kicked out of the army. "White pride" just gave him a crutch that allowed him to blame others for his failings... "Mr. Page received a general discharge in 1998 after being knocked down a rank to specialist for misconduct. "He told me if you don't go into the military as a racist, you will certainly come out as one," Mr. Simi said in an interview. "He felt the deck was stacked against whites in the military, and that blacks got all the promotions and were not disciplined for misconduct." Yeah, right.... Based on his track record of failing at everything, more likely he couldn't hack it - and just wanted someone else to blame. (Aug 8, 2012 | post #4)
Why? Have you been spending time there? Again - it doesn't matter who you happen to see on dole day. You don't know anything about them and it's hardly representative of the whole countryAre you drunk?? That's just gibberish. Sorry. (Aug 8, 2012 | post #35)
Ok. On your bike then, mate1) Refugees aren't part of the immigrant intake. The way I understand it they're given protection visas - which allows them to stay in the country while they apply to be migrants. But that's temporary. 2) Well - I'd just LOVE to know how it is you know that the Federal government is lying about public housing, and refugees get placed first. Again - really - you're still just spruiking what you reckon - and how you "feel" doesn't count for anything. Maybe they keep some housing reserved for this purpose for all you know - it's not the same thingExactly - I've given the sources - direct from the relevant gov't department. http://www.immi.go v.au/media/fact-sh eets/02key.htm These numbers add up. When you try and shove in YOUR numbers that you vaguely remember from some article you used to have on a computer that doesn't work... THEN they don't add up. Easy explanation - issuing visas and immigration - is not the same thingSo you're saying - that the statistics are wrong because the count individuals as both family AND skilled migration. Highly doubtful on the face of it - and again - PROVE IT!! I don't believe it simply, because that doesn't help them 'hide' numbers as you're alluding - but would inflate them - and in a way that they couldn't possibly express as a percentage and be in any way accurate. It would be INCREDIBLY unprofessional, and utter incompetence. They wouldn't be able to get away with itAgain - go for it... a refugee would be at a major disadvantage in the job market. A great Australian intellect - author, art critic and commentator. He'll be missed. (Aug 8, 2012 | post #2)
You could have stopped right there - but you then seem to carry on to do precisely that and justify violence... There are always extremists - and they're always the ones who end up being emblematic or the highly visible representatives by their actions. That's why they do it - to galvanise, instigate and prolong THEIR struggle. It's the suckers on either or any side who get drawn in and then reproduce that cycle of hatred and violence who really give the terrorists what they want. Violent extremists are to be condemned. Full stopShow me any group of people on the planet who aren't strangers to violence. (Aug 7, 2012 | post #145)
As the quote above mentions... The program now emphasises businessís interest in attracting more skilled labour... http://www.austral ianreview.net/dige st/2006/02/meagher _wilson.html SKILLED LABOUR. Australia doesn't have enough labour in certain industries or regions - and so we import them. This makes up 67% of immigration. http://www.immi.go v.au/media/fact-sh eets/24overview_sk illed.htm1) You have no proof that immigrants sit "permanently on welfare". 2) Their actually isn't a housing shortage according to the latest figures.... http://www.smh.com .au/business/housi ng-shortage-all-sm oke-and-mirrors-20 120622-20szh.html The real estate market has used inflated numbers to justify high prices. And the building industry just needs to catch up with the demand... It's just basic economics - you need demand before there's a supply. In a free market - nobody's going to build houses and then hope that population will increase so that someone will buy them. The building industry is HEALTHY and expanding - good economic indicators. 3) Elderly immigrants who get pensions - well how many of them are there - really? Skilled LABOUR is 68%, Family Program 31.8% and NON-Contributing parents - the only one's who could possibly get pensions - are less than 5%. 1) They must be fully sponsored by exising citizens or residents and show that they can be supported 2) Must be in good health 3) They may have to wait up to 15 years... It's not easy. http://www.immi.go v.au/migrants/fami ly/parent-visa-pro cessing-priorities .htm#a http://www.immi.go v.au/media/fact-sh eets/31parents.htm Where are you getting your numbers, and just how do you know imigrants are sitting on welfare. You need something a little more substantial than your say so to back up your claims - because you've been wrong on almost all your assumptions so far. (Aug 7, 2012 | post #28)
It's interesting that a lot of what people say in here - 1) never has any sources backing them to show exactly what they actually are talking about... 2) Is often so overstated and exaggerated to be blatantly untrue. I mean honestly - it's hard to tell if you and others genuinely believe this because you work on biased information or if you're just making it up.... The fundamentalist Sikh's killing each other in temples left and right - I don't know anything about... And if you want people to take you at your word - you're on shaky ground, because there is absolutely NOTHING to show that Sikhs issued death threats to Leno over his joke involving their Golden Shrine or whatever... Seriously - show me some proof - because as it is it just seems you're exaggerating to push your own personal bias. (Aug 7, 2012 | post #138)
