Ukraine turmoil puts IMF loans in jeopardy
This one is a bit far fetched. It was caused by a natural desire of people to have transparent and honest government. (Nov 18, 2009 | post #10)
Ukraine turmoil puts IMF loans in jeopardy
Abundant food supply is the cornerstone of a healthy society and it's an area where Ukraine has a lot of potential for development. Which require subsidies. (Nov 18, 2009 | post #9)
Ukraine turmoil puts IMF loans in jeopardy
Do you have examples where IMF/World Bank took resources for non payment of loan? (Nov 18, 2009 | post #8)
Ukraine turmoil puts IMF loans in jeopardy
Even if Ukraine does get the next IMF tranche it's unclear how it's going to pay it back. Ukraine needs some serious reforms to reduce public subsidies and to make government expenditures in line with revenue. And the unfortunately the populist Timoshenko is not going to be able to do this. (Nov 17, 2009 | post #2)

Russian policeman fired for YouTube call for end to corruption
Yes, he should have written to his superior's superiors who are being deceived and would definitely react to this. He also should write to Russia's media, which while controlled by the government, has peoples best interests in mind and wouldn't let such a move go unnoticed. (Nov 10, 2009 | post #7)
Ukraine: 'Economically wrong' to print money to fight flu
The flu issue in Ukraine is definitely being played up as political "hot potato". The truth is there are only 2 confirmed death related to N1H1 in Ukraine, others are likely just regular flu. And it's likely being played up by... aissuR Where news propaganda is showing "strong" response to N1H1 threat by running pictures of "happy" kids who just got their N1H1 shots in various remote regions of Russia. Russia hopes nuclear ship will fly humans to Mars
Over the last 20 years or so, US got most of the world(even large part's of the Muslim) to copy it and accept it's values. It is very well positioned to the make the next move, the world is watching.. As for the whole mexican thing. Mexican's for the most part are very, I mean VERY, hard working crew who's skill compliment very well needs and weaknesses of the americans. (Oct 30, 2009 | post #31)
Russia hopes nuclear ship will fly humans to Mars
Russia is definitely facing a looming demographic disaster, with growing influence from China and Japan in the far east, exploding muslim population and dwindling and sickening russian population with increasing alcoholism and drug addiction rates. Islam could be well embraced by many russian's to help solve the alcohol problems. Add to that inevitable disaster in Afghanistan and Pakistan when US finally gives up and pulls out. Yushchenko packing bags already?
It would a complete disgrace to see him leave the country and hide out. If he has any decency he will remain in Ukraine and will defend his positions. (Sep 28, 2009 | post #1)
