Now some Democrats and the unions are backing the movement to repeal Obama-care. You would think they would have did a bit of research prior to jumping on the bandwagon. And we are still blaming Bush? Why not blame Clinton for the housing bubble or Reagan for the "Obama phones"? There are always going to be issues in past administrations that haunt present ones. A candidate campaigns on making things right, not constantly blaming his or her predecessor. Obama is never to blame. Its always the fault of Bush, the Tea Party, or Fox News. Apparently you do not know how to read. I am all about everyone paying their way. Do you understand the definition of the word "income" and how it pertains to a tax return? I do not go to a "job" every day, but pay my share of income taxes. I think it is obvious you do not understand, otherwise your comments wouldn't be what they are. This is a perfect example of our dismal success rate in our education system. In high school, tax accounting should be taught. It is beneficial to very person. I am all for discussion, but if you choose not to read and understand the other person's points, you are worthless in the discussion. Your words are a waste of time for everyone who reads them. Thank you for your meaningful contribution to a discussion of economics and the work place. More importantly, how it impacts Americans. And we wonder why nothing is getting done with such a display of interest in our economy...... I agree with having a CPA prepare your taxes. If I didn't, I wouldn't be in business. And enough with the "princess " comments. If you have a valid point, use it. Tax structure is not difficult to navigate, unless you base your "information " on your own assumptions, which is what you seem to have done. I do not watch Fox News. Wait... this is only proof of how stupid people are. What makes you think I do not make any money? What makes you think someone else pays my way? Until you wake up and realize that there are people out there who are responsible with their finances and contribute to society, you will never have a meaningful contribution to any discussion regarding economics. Women resign everyday to raise their children and go back into the workforce once their kids are in school. In my opinion, that was the most important decision I have made as a parent. Do you understand how our tax system works? Do you understand "married filing jointly" or capital gains tax? Take some basic courses or read a book on tax accounting, then let's talk. And by the way, that is precisely what I did for a living before I had kids, and what I will return to in four years when my youngest goes to school. Tax structure isn't hard to understand, but for those who don't understand the basic way to educate oneself, I suppose reading the codes could be hard. Gravy train? Oh how I wish you were right! Unfortunately, that isn't how really families handle financial issues. We both have spent our lives working hard, sacrificing, and saving our money. However, that no longer matters. We would be doing better off siphoning off of Joe Taxpayer like half the country does. But thank you for the brilliant response. Yes, I do believe many Americans are stupid. The results of this election has proven it so. Just wait... people will be complaining when they finally realize what they voted for and how it will impact them. Its easy to vote for someone who says that they will increase taxes for someone else. (Akin to purchasing votes). People are so stupid. Overtime isn't the only concern for employers. Or even health care. Think of all benefits awarded to employees at full time status. Vacation Time. Sick Time. Personal Time. 401K eligibility. 401K matching. Bonus programs. Commission programs. Raises. Moving expenses for promotions. Tuition reimbursement. Expense account reimbursement. Employers are going to end up doing away with the aforementioned programs because they won't be able to afford them. So, the employees who have worked for these programs, will no longer get them because they will no longer be offered. Idiots. Do these people have ANY idea how this is going to impact the middle class and how they provide for their own retirement? They won't be able to do it anymore. You are going to get screwed on your 401K. And, you won't be able to invest on your own any more because you won't be able to afford to pay the increased cap gains tax (yes, an increase on investment income from money invested THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID FRIGGING TAXES ON).
