Good point now that you mentioned it too. I also heard this one white female blogger talk about how she was offended by that theme and wished that the movie focused solely on the war efforts of the Na'vi characters instead of on Jake the pseudo Navi character.You see the same concept played out in movies about the cultures of people of color of how the white man has a prominent leadership role in the non-European cultural setting they story takes place in.  (Yesterday | post #32)

I'm still dying to see it and I may catch it on bootleg if I can, but I do know that there's one other hidden message that very few people saw, and it that was about white privilege.Remember how when Jake became a Na'vi and enjoyed his cultural experience amongst the Na'vi, he still had the choice to go back and forward between a human or Na'vi?That was an interesting theme that this one black female blogger saw in that movie that I read about.  (Yesterday | post #24)
