You are doing Ghandi's name a great disservice with responses like that. (May 21, 2008 | post #5829)
Calif. Supreme Court overturns gay-marriage ban
I'll bite. The United States government has an interest in energizing the birth-->taxatio n-->death cycle which sustains itself...perhaps that is why marriage was sanctioned between two animals which can reproduce (in this case, humans). Fair enough. The issue for me is that gay marriage doesn't do anything to PREVENT that cycle. Regardless of how many gays might marry, your heterosexual marriage rate will be what it will be. Thus you will still have just as many little tax paying feet as if gay marriage was illegal. And just a knit-picker: stop using "in general" as an escape route from your argument. Anything can be "in general." Let me try (it's fun!): 'Heterosexual marriage in the United States, in general, dissolves over 50% of the time.' 'Homosexual marriage is based, in general, on merits other than the principle that God says we have to get married because, holy crap, we accidentally got pregnant.' 'The replies in this thread have been pretty reasonable...in general.' Ok, I'm generally ready to argue any of these! (May 21, 2008 | post #5819)
Are "Cooks" also "Chefs" in Fallbrook?
If you create things in the kitchen (rather than follow recipes), you are a chef in my opinion. I really like to cook and have some great dishes I can pump out, but am by no means a chef. I couldn't have come up with 25% of the stuff I cook. (May 19, 2008 | post #2)

Community action, people. We can't stand by idle and watch the world pass us by. Become aware of your place in Fallbrook's society, and know that you are an asset. Change has to come from within. Remaining passive won't make the problems go away. We have to put our foot down and let "them" know that this crap isn't tolerated in FB. (May 19, 2008 | post #23)
