Here in Seattle at Swedish Hospital there's an ongoing patient H1N1 flu screening going on, and has been (to my knowledge) for the past month, where there are signs posted at all door entrances stating not to enter premises if you are sick. I have personally heard stories of many who have come down with the virus and for some, their ordeal has been life threatening (one such case, only 2 days ago). (11 hrs ago | post #650)

I just recently worked a graveyard shift at SeaTac airport in a warehouse (8pm - 430am) and things would get crazy with work just before 9pm before the flight closed out by 11pm. My crew and I had to tie things down for Boeing, handle boxed fruit by the 100's, frozen fish that came in boxes that weighed 50lbs by the 100's - I was whopped. And after an hour lunch, it was necessary to break down crap that would come off the plane for truck delivery whose drivers be waiting for their stuff by as early as 2am depending on their ordered pickup. Sometimes, my crew and I had to go out into the pouring rain and freezing snow to handle freight...I was hating every second of it too, but hey it was part of the job description.
