Man's body found in paper bale at Idaho plant

The hardest thing I ever had to do was watch my dad go through what he did. He had a feeding tube in after his surgery to remover his tumor. He was in a hospital bed not able to eat food. Every "meal" the nurse would come in and attach the liquid nutrition into his feeding tube. One day he asked the nurse if it was coconut, and told her if it was he didn't want it because he hated coconut. Watching my dad slowley pass on is right at the top of my list of things I never want to experance again, but my family was able to get through it. We were also able to laugh as much as we could during and after.  (Nov 17, 2008 | post #43)

I truly understand the pain and how it feels to lose someone to an horrible accident. My father in law was also killed in a car accident less than two years after my dad died. Another car crossed the yellow lines, and hit my in law's head on. I was not trying to be mean, or make light of the accident. I was just saying that I don't think everyone making jokes were trying to be directly mean to the family and friends. Message boards are open to everyone to post, and not everyone handles a tragedy the same way. Some people are able to find love in laughter no matter how bad things are. I am not trying to be disrespectful to anyone, and I hope the family and friends will get the support they deserve/need to get through this together.  (Nov 17, 2008 | post #42)

It is sad, but I can honestly say I would be ok with the jokes. It might take me a day or two to get there, but humor is a way to deal with bad things. My father passed away from cancer in 03. He always said he wanted "I told you I was sick" engraved on his stone. My mom will not put it on because she knows my father was joking when he said it. Not everyone is serious about everything in life. I don't think the people making the jokes are trying to be mean, or even disrespectful.  (Nov 13, 2008 | post #28)

Is Hanover Ghetto ?

I am glad someone said it! I like Hanover (and all the towns around it), and most of the people that live there. I grew up in a bigger PA town outside of Harrisburg, and moved to the Hanover area 5 - 6 years ago. I couldn't believe how people viewed "outsider's " no matter what skin color. It took me 3 years to lose the "outsider " status. All I am saying is change happens, everywhere. People can fight it and make it worse for everyone, or accept it and do what you can to make it the best it can be.  (Nov 12, 2008 | post #102)

Chief: No action to be taken on controversial sign

I would not have told Mr. Frock about the spelling mistake if I made the sign. I think it is gunny because I think it makes him look even worse.  (Nov 12, 2008 | post #40)

No, he will be worse because he is getting attention.  (Nov 12, 2008 | post #15)

Quincy Township family chosen for home makeover show

The house needed an elevator. The kid was in a walker, and could not go up or down stairs. The lot size of the land was too small to make it a one level house, and it was one of the few houses on the show where they did not go crazy with size. The twin boys shared a bedroom.  (Nov 10, 2008 | post #217)

Police arrest man who they say assaulted wife

Poor Boy? If I was the mother of his child I would be so happy the worthless dad is out of the picture. The child is better off not knowing the father.  (Oct 17, 2008 | post #48)

Police: Woman who was kicking son tired to run over witness

I agree with the previous post that pointed out the kids witnesses the mother, and othe woman verbaly fighting. That alone says a lot about the example the mother is setting for her kids. Kids learn by example, and if they are kicked by mom so mom can get them to do/go where she wants them to. Than the kids are going to do the exact same thing to others. That is whay it is called a cycle of abuse.  (Oct 17, 2008 | post #65)

Police: Pregnant woman kicked

Wonderful facts. edgucation for everyone (even people that are not in an abusive relationship) would make a huge difference in cases like this.  (Oct 16, 2008 | post #9)

Salt shortage, high prices may mean slippery roads

I can't agree with you more. I think PA should spend more time teaching people how to drive in the snow to cut back on accidents.  (Oct 16, 2008 | post #6)

Citizens group to hold East Berlin meeting

Are they going to test the air quality the cows, and animals are putting in the air? I am not sure they can do too much to change that.  (Oct 14, 2008 | post #2)

Ohio teen charged for sending nude phone photos

Oh, come on. I did a lot worse stuff when I was 15. I am sure many people out there did too. I agree something should be done. Do the crime, pay the time. I imagine stuff like this (and worse) is happining all the time. She just simply got caught.  (Oct 8, 2008 | post #7)

Stepbrother charged in upstate NY girl's slaying

WOW!! How can social services say they did not notice the poor girl was underweight and starving! I hope the article just left out the animal abuse charges also. Caged poultry is a nice way to say fighting birds. It is illegal to own fighting birds in PA, but I don't know the law in NY.  (Oct 8, 2008 | post #2)
