Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck: 2012 Dream Ticket
I'm not against his faith or anything like that. I just am more Libertarian when it comes to issues like gay marriage, legalizing marijuana, abortion etc. So it does concern me in the respect that many times (definitely not all) those who consider themselves strong in their faith feel others should live the exact way they are living. He seems like a good guy. I enjoy his show. He's hip to a point. lol That is interesting on the education issue. I didn't know that. (Monday Nov 30 | post #37)
See, now that's the free market at work! LOL!! (Monday Nov 30 | post #31)
Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck: 2012 Dream Ticket
Huckabee would never receive my vote. I would rather not vote at all than to vote for a social conservative with an iffy background, not to mention some creepy affiliations with some hard core zealots on the right. Not that I'm saying anything degrading to/about his supporters. He's just not the guy for me. Now Rand Paul? It may be early, but he's one of the guys I'm watching and paying attention to. There are a lot of amazing fiscal conservatives we need to look at. Anyone on the primary ticket for the Republican's last go around needs to stay home in my opinion. (Monday Nov 30 | post #33)
I agree with the warning label! To step it up a notch we could do what Canada does on their cigarettes with the cancerous lung picture and post a picture of said zit-faced borderline diabetic that gasps for air just tying their shoes. (Monday Nov 30 | post #28)
'Good Morning America' cancels Adam Lambert
Yes we do. Crazy, huh? lol :-) (Monday Nov 30 | post #76)
I know people, especially teens that do drink pop all day, upwards of 6 or so a day even. Water to them is a dirty word. On top of that, schools could stand to make a lot of money if they started selling cigs for Camel. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but like I said before I'd like to see where all of this money these schools are making is going. (Monday Nov 30 | post #22)

As I pointed out earlier, you could see that type of behavior on Dancing with the Stars. Wasn't it Aaron Carter that had his partner bent over with his hand on the back of her neck lifting her up and down towards his crotch? (Monday Nov 30 | post #74)
I for one would like to see where the money from these machines go before claiming it helps to support schools. And I see what you're saying about rights and freedoms. However, it's not the school's job to provide soda and sugary drinks for students in general, whether they're 18 or not. I'm not advocating we limit outside sales to students of any age. Moreso saying that in schools where we're trying to help build children into the best they can be, we don't need to help facilitate unhealthy choices. And soda is an unhealthy choice. (Monday Nov 30 | post #18)
I believe it is. But not from the machines. When I was in high school I remember the big talk was the contract and big money the school received from Coca Cola to get rid of the Pepsi machine. Personally, I feel that pop in schools should be limited if not banned all together. We have a huge issue with childhood obesity and allowing teens to suck down thousands of empty calories a day only exacerbates the issue at hand. (Monday Nov 30 | post #14)

I can see your point, but to me this really wasn't an "in your face" about his sexuality sort of move. I've seen countless performers do far worse with counterparts of the opposite sex and rarely do we see an uproar over it. I mean if it were two girls kissing like that it's likely to cause a bit of an issue but nothing like we're seeing here. Like I said, I understand where you're coming from, and it seems like the line of what is acceptable behavior is continuously being blurred, or even moved. I just wish we could accept others for the way they are, I don't expect us to treat them any different. I just don't see how singling him out because he is gay is getting us anywhere. Oh I agree, I don't think it's necessary for parents to have to explain to their children what such and such means while watching an 8pm show. However, I wonder, like I said earlier if the hub bub is about the face to groin action, or more because of the man on man kiss...? The world may never know I guess. (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #34)
