By the way, while I was in junior high school from 1954 to 1958, my principal drove a 1947 Caddy and in 1956, I dated a girl whose parents owned a 1947 Caddy. Also, several years ago at the annual Route 66 Restored Auto Show in San Bernardino, CA, I saw two beautiful fully-restored 1947 Cadillacs, one of which was a convertible and both had Hydramatic transmissions. How about a 1940 Caddilac with its original fully-operational V-16 engine? There is a fully-restored one in Pasadena, CA! The Cadillacs of the 1950's were the most beautiful and the roomiest of all of them even though they had really funny-looking taillights! Did you ever see a film about a 1947 Cadillac owner who converted it into a mini-motorhome and drove it nonstop from New York City to Los Angeles? I saw that film on TV about 50 years ago which really fascinated me. That Caddy had everything on board for home living including a kitchen with a gas stove and oven, a toilet (with a built-in septic tank) which doubled as a clothes washing machine whose agitation was done with a long wooden spoon, and, believe it or not, the kitchen sink in which those on board actually bathed! There was a 50-gallon potable-water tank in the trunk and there was also a small refrigerator which was plugged into what looked like a very early power inverter. There were four built-in inner wheels on solid rubber tires, any one of which could be lowered in the event of a flat tire so that the owner could, while the Caddy was still moving, very gingerly walk over to it on the running board, remove the flat tire, place it on top of the hood, then pull the spare out of the wheel well on the right front fender, (There were four spare tires on board, one in each front-fender wheel well and two side by side near the trunk.) install it, place the flat tire into the wheel well and then very gingerly walk back on the running board to the front passenger door and let himself in, the job well done! By the way, I believe that a small gasoline truck went along to keep the '47 Caddy fueled during its nonstop coast-to-coast trip. I learned the hard way that there are cyber-bullies and other types of hackers all over the world especially in the countries who are our sworn enemies ---you know who they are! They all have expert and thorough hacker-training programs which train hackers to wage continuous cyber-warfare against us and our allies which make our local hackers look comparatively-tame....something to think about. There is now (and really always has been) a good and logical reason why all faculty and all administration members along with armed security officers---preferably retired police officers in all nationwide K-12 schools should be armed ONLY after they have completed a pertinent firearms training course with very high final grades and possibly even after exhaustive psychological testing. This would be only after financial approval and after they get past the politics which will always be present. I have a 5-year-old grandniece about whom I now really worry and who is in kindergarten in a grade school in one of the states in the USA---I will reveal neither what state, city nor the school she attends for her protection and that of her schoolmates as well for obvious security reasons. Yeah man, you are right in asking what happened to the other forum. My question is, what happened to all that juicy shit I used to read on it regarding the snickering remarks regarding the local lady TV personalities who people claim to be "morally loose?" That was my main attraction to The Buffalo Forum which is how I got my "online kicks!" But now, it really is just like a cemetary whose "juicy shit" died and got buried in it leaving behind nothing but boring ho-hum bullshit! The question is, how do we juice things back up?
