I did not know they lowered the age. Good to know considering my 3 year old female would sit at the window while boyfriend waited for the door to open. That is the one who came running in my house. He tore up one of my screens too. It was funny when they would sit on each side of the glass, gazing longingly at each other. This was the point I said to heck with it I am lie. She was only about 5 months but when I called I lied through my teeth. Yup she's 6 months!!! Now 2 and 1/2 years later I find out I didn't even need to lie. (7 hrs ago | post #1549)

I actually learned about the cats reaction when my cat first went into heat. I did not know what was going on. I only had one cat growing up and that was male, had tons of dogs though. When my Mindy went into heat I called the vet terrified at my cats behaviour, she sounded like she was dieing. The vet is just laughed at me and told me to rub by the base of her tail. I too am o+. I give blood regularly and hope it is used by who needs it. I don't care what color their skin is because their blood is the same color as mine. My organs will be available to who ever may need them when that time comes. Once again I don't care the color of the person, my organs will not be able to see nor will they care. I assume since they were apart of me I think they will have my attitude, if organs can have attitude. Alls I ask is who ever is the benefactor of my blood, or who will receive my organs is to enjoy life and watch a beautiful sunset for me. If by chance my organs are donated to someone who is racist, maybe my organs will rally forth and change their attitude. (7 hrs ago | post #1787)

6 months. One way to tell if a female is in heat is to scrath their back, right where the tail starts. If they are in heat, the will usually raise their tail end while going down on their chest in the front all the while making strange noises. If they do react like this I would call the vet now. Trying to keep a cat content while they are in heat is a nightmare. They are loud and annoying. I had a male cat hanging around one time, and when the door opened he ran in. Talk about a way to meet the neighbor hood cats! I had a vet tell me one time to fix cats as soon as possible. After they reach their first heat they will always either be pregnant or in heat. To the MVD there are no minor issues. Everything they need is of the utmost importance. Most of what they need can be found with the push of the button, but by golly you need to bring it in. LOL I have a daughter in-law who is Spanish not Mexican so I was informed when I made the mistake of calling her Mexican. I asked what the difference was since her Grandmother was Mexican why wasn't she? She couldn't answer. I asked a mexican friend of mine and she said the same pretty much she is just being snooty. My daughter in law is about the most prejudice to Mexicans I have ever seen. She tried to show me one time, by pointing out mexicans. That one that one etc. I asked how can you tell they look alot like you? Dark hair, dark eyes, darker complexion. By the way they dress she answered. ??????? that was my response. She would tell me I was prejudiced, I only put up with her because she was the mother of my grand children. The last time she said this I told her she needed to look in the mirror, she was the most prejudiced person I knew. Don't take your baggage and try to put it on me. True I do only put up with her because of my grandkids but it has nothing to do with heritage, it all has to do with attitude and acting like a decent human being. (16 hrs ago | post #1765)

Personally I think racism is just silly. I don't believe there is any one that is 100% anything. One group of people has taken over another group since the beginning of time. The conquering group enslaved the other, used the women and wala babies of mixes lineage. Women have been raped since the beginning of time. People have stepped out of marriages since the beginning of time and once again wala babies of mixed lineage. These mixed babies grew up to produce more mixed babies. So being racist against any one group is just silly. We are all probable a mixture of every conceivable race there is. If you practice racism you are more than likely part of that race also. What is that line.. something to do with all of us bleeding red. We all have the same anatomy any way. (Yesterday | post #1758)

Forgot to mention my RAK I got my grand son a remote control car for Christmas. One of those coils that holds the battery in was missing in the battery pack. Big 5 didn't have any more, wasn't going to be receiving anymore and said I could have a credit. I told them this is what I wanted to give my grandson and I would see if I could buy the coil at Radio Shack. So I went there and told the man, I don't care if I need to buy the whole battery pack or just the coil, I just want to fix this car. They didn't have either piece to fix it. So he told me to try that remote control place, where the old Office bar was. Next to Captain D's.I didn't even realize that bar had closed down. A young man,at the shop came to help me and he said they didn't have that battery pack or coil but maybe he could get the coil off something else. So my daughters and I stood around watching someone race their car around a track for about 10 minutes until the man came back with my battery pack and told me "I won't make any promises but I think this will work. It seems to have good contact". I thanked him and went to the front to pay. I told the man running the cash register I didn't know the price but the other man replaced the coil. So he hollers at the other man what did you do, the first man hollered back, I just took a coil out of,(not for sure what he said) so the man at the cash register handed me the battery pack back and said, "have fun with the car". Came home the car works great, and my grandson is having a good time with it. I don't know the name of the store and I am not into remote cars and all but if I ever have a problem with something along those lines, I know where to find that store. (Saturday | post #1539)
