As I said... MAYBE they can be dicks, but SO FAR, I've had nothing but positive contact with them. As for being an a$$h0le... You witless prick, before you open that thing in your face called a mouth, find out your facts. Not on the Town's payroll, so you're the one who doesn't know what they're talking about... Could give two sh1ts about town politics... I was making an observation and that was all. (Tuesday Dec 8 | post #61)
HCCC students with no respect........
Wal-Mart... Monday night... 6 HCCC kids walking abreast through the store on their cells... won't move... giving dirty looks because one or two have to walk around your cart... Parking lot... same kids walking up the main row, still abreast, still on their cells... won't move for cars... talking sh1t to whoever tries to get around them... Next time, you're under my 4x4... I got pulled over at the bottom of Coop Hill the other day, the cop, dunno know his name, but he was in the Tahoe, seemed a little short and a bit chunky. I was trying to figure out why I got stopped... I wasn't speeding, had my belt on... Cop was very nice, explained that I had a brake light out, and that it was kind of hard to know if someone didn't tell me. Let me go on my way. Which reminds me. I bought a new bulb, should probably put it in... :-) Also, two years ago my son was in a serious car accident with my car. There were some severe injuries involved, and the girl he let drive was drunk. ALL of the Town Cops were very nice, respectful and polite. The only problem I had was trying to get my old tags off my car. Some sort of pissing contest between lawyers and insurance companies and the cops were caught in the middle of not letting me get anything from the car. NOT saying they can't be dicks... But from my experiences with them, they've always been polite and professional. (Friday Dec 4 | post #37)
We need an olive garden in the valley.
I've gone to Piccolo's in LF a few times. Havn't been there in a while, but they used to have a fairly decent mexican/fusion menu there... TONS of food and good prices... (Saturday Nov 28 | post #38)

I always thought that there was supposed to be one going in over by Lowe's when they built it. Heard that there was supposed to be alot of stores going in over by Lowes' when they developed it... Whatever happened? (Friday Nov 27 | post #35)
No, it is NOT required to inform anyone of thier marital status or religious affiliation... It is done voluntarily by the candidates to give thieer constituancy a better look into thier background, but it is NOT required... That being said... Who cares who the guy fools around with? As long as he can get the job done, that's all that matters. (Nov 24, 2009 | post #23)
Should Legislators pay Property Taxes?
Why would the LF Fire Chief be exempt? My two cents... Of course they should! (Nov 24, 2009 | post #5)
Tort reform, selling insurance across state lines, import drugs from Canada, all good ideas! Again, though, unfortunatly, it goes back to the politicians, BOTH Democrat and Republican that won't make a move on thier cash cows... Look at Joe Lieberman... Any question why he wants to filibuster ANY public option, even an opt out clause option... being from Conneticut? This is a tough issue. I'm tired of paying for people in the cart, while the rest of us drag it. But on the opposite side, there are those who truly need help, both with welfare and insurance. I think it'd do the country good to have some SERIOUS oversight into all the social programs. I don't understand why both sides are so resistant to it though. Those on the right want to give nothing to anyone in need, and those on the left want to give everything. I'm pretty sure that everyone posting here knows someone who is milking the system... and we pay for it. Again, nothing against those who truly need help, and they should get it. (Nov 20, 2009 | post #68)
I'm not sure of they still do it, but a few years back the buffet at Hotel Utica for Thanksgiving was excellent! (Nov 20, 2009 | post #8)
As far as a public option goes... I don't think it should be a freebie. Even if someone could only afford 50 bucks a month, they should have to pay for it, but there should be some sort of an affordable public option not tied to the insurance industry. Tort reform is an important part of healthcare reform. AND just as the Republicans don't want the competition from a public option to protect the insurance industry... The Dems don't want tort reform to protect the legal industry. BOTH are an improtant part of the debate. As I said before... BOTH parties have given up being nation first, in lieu of Party first, and ALL of us pay the price for it in the end... Maybe I'll start my own party... The Common Sense Party :-) (Nov 19, 2009 | post #58)
