Now that this whole trial is over, despite the fact on the news that it will be appealed to the state supreme court, maybe now the wertz family can finally grieve in their own way. They lost a husband, father and a son to this disturbed person. Cletus obviously knew that his intentions were to shoot whoever is chasing him. Pennsylvania charging parents $25 to collect child support
I don't agree with your comment about90 percent of none custodial parents pay their child support on time. Ever look in the newspapers? Most newspapers now post the dead beat parent that is way behind on child support. I have seen the list with as little as 25 names and as many as 75 names. And for some counties in pennsylvania to give amnesty to the dead beat mom or dad, this is completely unfair. If they would just pay their support as required by the guidelines set by their aggreement there wouldn't be no issues. I still feel that the custodial parent should not be responsible for the $25 charge that the state wants to charge. Domestic relations has always said that the money that the custodial parent should be receiving for child support is for the child. Well they are going against their word and taking the money away from the child. How fair is that? Price of clothing, school lunches and just about everything else in this world is going up, and they want to take money away from the child. (Monday Aug 4 | post #42)

Keep in mind here that the "taxes" of the hard working americans that were born and raised in this country are going to house your illegal friends and relatives in either subsidized housing, or prison. We do pay taxes despite what your illegal mouth says. We provide for our families, we put food on the table and don't rely on the gov't to help us. I couldn't agree more with you. Welfare offices are through the county government, child support is through the county government. Why not charge a fee too all the people living off of welfare? For those of us working it is not fair to have our child support garnished just so some county worker can punch a few keys to process your child support. My ex husband was in arrears up till last year when his social security disability went through. I had the county telling me I would have to wait up to a year for them to touch his lump sum money that had been to him. I thought this was ridiculous, but waited patiently. I had contacted my local representative in my county to see what my rights were. Within 1 month of contacting him, I finally got my money that was owed to me. The problem? Child support took close to $50 for processing my child support claim. Now, if I am a law abiding, tax paying citizen why should I, the recipient be charged anything for dpw to process? Charge the person responsible for paying. I just think this is another way for the counties to collect money and sit on it, then cry wolf in a few years when they need to cut workers because of funds!! (Monday Aug 4 | post #27)
