Eau Claire County DA clears officers in shooting of gunman

Dude, read the article...shot 3 times in the abdomen...hospitilized...may not even be charged, (although, why???)...you make yourself sound both ignorant and arrogant...not good qualities in any person. You should think about that before you post your drivel.  (Sep 18, 2009 | post #13)

Eau Claire County DA clears officers in shooting of gunman

Finally...ZERO tolerance for a gun wielding woman beater...YAY for the good guys! The officers responded just as they should have! And they did aim to disarm, after all they didn't aim for his head, did they?  (Sep 18, 2009 | post #2)

Woman, dog stow away in new car being transported to Eau Claire

Evidently the dog was very important to her...are dogs allowed on a bus? And if they are allowed in the hold, (which I doubt) how much $ is it? More that a few pack of smokes.  (Sep 18, 2009 | post #33)

Hugo woman who died in crash had beat hardship

There for the grace of God go I...may this incredible woman rest in peace. If there was any indication of texting, as some of the posters are assuming, it will come out in the investigation and Mary Smith will probably be charged with negligent vehicular homicide. Such a shame if that is the case.... a shame for all involved.  (Sep 17, 2009 | post #12)

Woman, dog stow away in new car being transported to Eau Claire

She sounds desparate to me...I hope she is found to be okay and that she and her dog are reunited! If not, I hope some caring soul adopts the dog. There is more to this story and I hope when she is found that the whole story gets reported.  (Sep 17, 2009 | post #17)

Minnesota program shielding abuse victims fine-tuned

One of the reasons an abused person stays with the abuser is not having a safe place to go. I'm very happy to see that something is being done to ensure the safety and privacy of these victims. In todays technological society, privacy is always an issue. Feeling like you have to hide even after getting away is very disheartening. Being able to do the smallest thing, without the terror of being found would be a relief.  (Sep 16, 2009 | post #1)

Windom fire chief suspended for allowing use of fire truck in w...

I agree with Incredible 70...sounds like someone in the council just doesn't like the Fire Chief. I've seen firetrucks at countless parades, and other social events. What was the big deal about using the truck for a wedding photo? It is not like the truck wouldn't have been available if there had been a fire call. The wedding party was probably alot of firemen, too. I'm glad to see the good citizens of Windom stand behind their Cheif! Dirty politics are everywhere!  (Sep 16, 2009 | post #11)

Husband of missing St. Croix Falls, Wis., woman files for divorce

Just my opinion...but there are posts on here bashing the husband for filing for a divorce for a 2nd time...maybe he took her back after the 1st filing (after promises to quit the METH, etc.), and he probably took her back because he loved her and wanted the kids to have their mommy. Then, because METH is such a demon, Rose may have fallen into the evil trap again. Or then again, maybe the husband has something to do with her dissapearence and is counting on her past behavior to muddy the waters before they really look at him. I hope for the childrens sake that she is found safe and sound.  (Sep 16, 2009 | post #44)

Homeless man repeatedly calls 911, claims he left dead body nea...

Although Blue Earth County should charge restitution for man hours, etc...the county officials probably believe it would be like getting blood from a stone. Since this man is homeless, the people of Blue Earth County will be paying for him from now on, that is assuming he is caught and institutionalized, at St. Peter, most likely.  (Sep 15, 2009 | post #5)

Missing Coon Rapids woman safe, unhurt

A concerned citizen complaint is always investigated? Not always... The main reason they searched for her is because of the domestic complaint. It probably wasn't the 1st call concerning this couple and the cops had every right to be concerned for her safety. They most likely left because she didn't want him to get arrested...misguided love at it's best! If she stays, she may well be a homicide call the next time. Because we all know there will be a next time!  (Sep 15, 2009 | post #3)

Woman admits she stole more than $87,000 from workplace

Carlson Building Maintenance must not have done an extensive background check on this woman. She must be a pretty slick talker to be able to do this again and again. Maybe now she'll get more than just a slap on the wrist and an order for restitution. hHe sounds like she need mental help.  (Sep 14, 2009 | post #1)

Baby born 9-9-09 has sibling born on 8-8-08

I'm curious as whether the woman had a C-section and was able to choose her own dates? Nothing much special about this if that is the case. Just unique to this family, but not really newsworthy. Just my opinion.  (Sep 12, 2009 | post #2)
