My argument is that people do change and develop during puberty and those changes effect the outlook and whole being of a person. Delaying puberty is going to developmentally put this child out of sync with its peers in ways that may be unhealthy socially and psychologically as well as physically. I believe that gender reassignment issues should be made by a consenting adult individual. I think it is hard decision to make, especially before experiencing having an adult body in the physical gender you were born. In simpler words, let nature take its course and let the person decide as an adult. My heroes growing up were Billy Jean King, Martina Natrilova, Wonder Woman and the Six Million Dollar Woman, I enjoyed antiques and still wonder why women are allowed to cross dress every day and men are not (some of women's fabrics are wonderful) yet, I am so happy that I am just a gay male. I don't have to shave my legs and armpits, I don't have to cover my face with goop, I don't have to wear uncomfortable shoes, now love camping and am only called a b*tch when I'm being one. I am happy with who I grew up to be and I think you need to let the child grow up before such a big decision is made. (Saturday | post #13)

If the photographers got payment they should be charged. Either way the gay porn site should be fined or shut down under current law they are supposed to know the age and consent of their models. If the site was a fine art site whose focus was art and just happened to include some nudes and every parent signed off on showing/distributi ng the picture that would be different. A nude of Brooke Shields was approved by her mother when she was basically an undeveloped teen. Later Brooke sued in an attempt to regain the rights of the picture. It can now be seen appropriated and reprinted in a work by Richard Prince. A piece that mostly gets the response, "What was her mother thinking?" (Friday May 9 | post #2)

I wouldn't do it, the decision to delay puberty could damage the child's health as an adult. I would start a savings account to aid him/her either with sex reassignment treatment (or college) when he/she became 18. Going through puberty may help define who this child will be as an adult.
