Repeal the 2nd Amendment

Only criminals and police should be allowed to have guns. Oh, and that includes anyone who is elected to office. I'll let you decide which of the two groups they fall into. The rest of us should be sheep, hoping neither of the other two groups shoot us.  (Jun 27, 2008 | post #14)

Just veto the thing

And the cubs are mentioned why, exactly?  (Jun 25, 2008 | post #1)

Explaining a vote for museum's relocation

Like 'Braveheart,' Reilly was betrayed by peers

The Trib itself has posted many alternatives. Are you really this ignorant? And if you think this is really about the Mayor wanting to stick kids in an underground cavern away from the sun, then you truly are in for a rude awakening.  (Jun 13, 2008 | post #118)

Rezko's letter should put Obama, governor on alert

John: I thought the same thing when I read the Rezko letter. That it was a threat. We'll see how it all plays out. Thanks for posting the names of the aldermen who are standing up for the people as well as the **** that think nothing of public opinion. I hope you keep reprinting them as this case ratches up many dollars of lawyers fees while the few fight the many - the same many they are supposed to do the will of. It truly is ludicrous.  (Jun 13, 2008 | post #1)

Someone was nice enough to post the link for me when I asked the same question in another thread. Now my chance to help out! http://newsblogs.c hicagotribune.com/ clout_st/2008/06/h ow-council-vot.htm l  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #61)

See you in court!

And where is the list of how each alderman voted? Why is it not prominently linked to on each article or the front web page? I've been looking and I can't find it. It should be printed in a box in your paper with every article as this case goes through the legal system.  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #2)

See you in court!

Great. Now I get to donate my hard earned money to the people who will sue to stop this travesty while the city uses tax dollars collected from me to fight. Meanwhile, other city services, like the police, fire fighters, CTA, and schools, go begging for scraps. But not the lawyers. They're the big winners here. Hey, wasn't Daley a lawyer once?  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #1)

Kids' museum site approved

Why the hell are you in the middle of this argument? Because some citizens brought you this request and other citizens don't want it approved. What is so difficult, Burnett? Why not resign and let someone who understands what your elected position is supposed to do, come in and do it? These clowns are ruining the city and Daley is raping the hell out of it. There will soon be nothing left to be proud of.  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #24)

Mighty Hummer meets its match in gas prices

Exactly. Round 'em all up. Greater good and all that. Oh, wait. I have an idea. Can I buy and drive a hummer as long as I make sure to purchase enough Gore backed Carbon Credits? Win win, right?  (Jun 11, 2008 | post #57)

Dress it up anyway you wish, Comrade. The end result is you telling me what I can and can't do based upon your vision of what is right for the 'greater good'. Sounds like a duck to me.  (Jun 11, 2008 | post #55)

Dumb and destructive

Widly successful? I think you're seeing a diminished return here. Getting drunks off the road is one thing. Getting anyone who has had one or two beers off the road is another. What are the number of deaths by auto concerning drunk driving vs the number of sober deaths by auto? What were they 10 years ago? When is mission accomplished announced? When we have permanent check points at every major intersection that include a nurse to draw blood?  (Jun 11, 2008 | post #5)

What part of "fastest way" are you having trouble with? Did I say we shouldn't continue to seek alternative fuel sources?  (Jun 11, 2008 | post #37)

Damn those personal liberties and freedoms! Comrade - you must not do anything that isn't for the 'greater good'. Oh, and I will tell you what that greater good is! Well, I mean Big ME Attitude will anyway.  (Jun 11, 2008 | post #13)
