Good Morning Ladies, Donna, too bad about your earrings. That can be so annoying especially after waiting for them. I'm sure they will correct it. Terrie, your picture is so pretty. Do you ever get tired of looking at it (the snow)? I don't like the color white much, so after a day or two I'm finished with the it. Arlene, did you find something to buy with your coupon? Don't you wish you had stayed in NJ now? Just kidding. Hello also to Nan, Nancy, Joan and everyone else too. Did Maggie ever make it over here? I don't know if I'll have time to post the next day so I wanted to wish everyone holiday greetings now. I think everyone else must be very busy too. What is everyone doing for Christmas? I'm not cooking. My father is tomorrow, so we'll all go over there. He lives with his girlfriend and my mom is also invited so I think it will be nice. My mom met her on Thanksgiving already and they get along well. My sister and I don't like the girlfriend, but that's okay. We put up with her on holidays. My nephew who lives in Ohio just came in yesterday. My sister he and I are going to the Nutcracker today. We're taking the bus in so we don't have to deal with the car and parking. It's 6 am now and I'm listening to music while I get ready. I think I'm finally in the Christmas mood. I still have to get some small things at the dollar store first and stop at the bakery and then I'm done. I walk a dog for a neighbor so I want to get him a toy or something. Tonight is a party at a friend's house. That's pretty much all of my plans for the holiday. It's finally time to relax and have a good time. I've been thinking about my dog off and on, but I try not to. I put both of their stockings out so it feels like they're here with me at least. Well, I should get ready to get to the stores so I'll be done when my sister and nephew get here. She'll be mad if I'm late. She already called me at 4:30 to make sure I'm up. If I don't chat beforehand, I wish you all a Merry Christmas whatever you're doing. Michele (18 hrs ago | post #539)

Good Morning Ladies, Arlene, were you up late shopping and chatting? Thanks for asking about the Nutcracker. I'm really looking forward to it. Last night on PBS there was a production of it, so now I'm really in the mood. Thanks all for asking about my hands. Yes, they're still a little red/sore/swollen, but getting better. If it is arthritis, that's a nice 40th birthday present to remind me that I'm getting older! I'll keep you posted. Donna, you said the internist mentioned you also had it? Is it a probelem and how to you handle it? It seems like the shopping is quieting down as everyone is getting ready for the holidays. I've been checking out the site, but I believe they are holding out until after Christmas to post the really good deals. I guess it makes sense financially to not drop prices yet. Their pre-owned stuff if pitiful so far. I'm waiting and gearing up and getting my cards ready! Terrie, good luck venturing out today. I have to work tonight, so we'll see how that goes. We got 2 feet, some parts a little more, others a little less. I know everyone laughs at us out here because we aren't used to all the snow and make a deal about even half a foot, but this is too much. Some schools are even still closed today. I'm dug out already, just worried about my bushes. The next picture I posted is of our Main Street. They have a thing in NJ about bringing back the Main St. concept and Pitman is one of the communities. Have a good one and enjoy whatever you're doing as you all get ready. I imagine baking, Christmas music, and beautiful lighted trees. Some of us even have the white stuff out the window. Later, Michele (Tuesday Dec 22 | post #505)

Good Morning Everyone, Yesterday was very cold. We wound up with almost 2 feet, around 21/22 inches. I haven't watched the news yet, so I don't know about the towns around me. It is pretty, but a nightmare. They plowed our driveway once yesterday. My poor arborvitaes didn't do well. I had to spend the day shoveling and trying to get the snow off of them and the cedars so the limbs didn't break. One of the larger ones is staying pretty close to the ground so I think when the snow goes down a little I'll have to tie it up if it doesn't snap before then. It's about 15 feet tall. I'm hoping everything I planted since I moved in does ok. I can't see any of them! I posted a picture of my back door, which I can't get out of yet. The community I live in is in a section of Pitman called the Grove. Around 1900 a methodist community chose this spot as their summer retreat. It's shaped like a wagon wheel with the Tabernacle in the middle and the Avenues as the spokes. They started out in tents and then built these little cottages. Most, and mine, are more than 100 years old. It's very cute, at least the houses without renters who don't take care of anything, and looks nice in the snow. I just walked around town with my neighbors and took pictures. I'll try to change them to show you. It's weird because it's a historical district but also a low-income one which seems to me to be a contradiction. Anyway, I did not get to lie around doing nothing yesterday like I wanted. It seems like you guys were up all night. Did anyone do any shopping? How are you all in NY and WV? Shoveling out? Florida and California are looking pretty good right now. Ok, I want to check out jtv and then I have to get outside and get something done. Take care everyone. (Sunday Dec 20 | post #485)

Hello Everyone, I'm finally able to come on and chat and catch up on the posts. Things have been a little hectic as it's the end of the semester. I can't believe how much snow we are going to get. Not 30 inches like you are Terrie, but 18 to 24 which is unusual for us, especially in December. We already have about 6 or 7. I'm south of Philly, kind of in the middle of the largest pocket they're talking about. Are you used to this much snow in WV? I don't have a generator, no one here does I don't think, so I hope the power doesn't go out. It is pretty, but the winds they're talking about will ruin that I think. Terrie, your picture isn't posted. Well, I don't plan on going anywhere for the next 2 days. I hope I can resist shopping, but I doubt it. I finally got all of my things in. Today were the last packages, surprise in this weather. The opal ring I posted about came in yesterday. I got a nice stone with nice fire and it's not too thin as one reviewer said. The pink tourmalines are nice too and it all looks good in rose gold. The color of the gold really brings out the reddish flecks in the opal. I like it well enough, but I'm not sure it's worth getting at the price, even with the coupons. If anyone is looking at it, Nan I know you like opals, perhaps see if you can wait till they discount it, if they ever do. It's a little lightweight/dainty and the design seems to me to be better for a girl. I'm keeping it, though. It is pretty and there's nothing wrong with it and it is a pretty good value. The only problem is that the thing with my hands that I wrote about a while ago seems to keep flaring on and off, which means that my rings don't fit right and don't look as good on. Isn't it funny that's what I worry about the most! My mom thinks it may be rheumatoid arthritis, but I'm still not sure it isn't an allergy to something. Sad to say, with the kind of work I do, I don't have insurance and can't afford to get it on my own, so I really don't want to get into the expense of multiple tests. I'll wait a little longer to see if it gets better on its own. Things with me usually do. I got a bunch of other things that are all stupendous, especially at the prices I got them for. I'm going to do reviews today I think for them. There's an amethyst and pearl endless strand, a rice pearl lariat style neclace, a bunch of the natural gemstone stretch bracelets, a quartz crystal ring on clearance, turquoise ring on clearance, silver rhodolite earrings, a super cheap enamel/crystal watch for my sister, and I think that's it for this shipment. All great quality. Sometimes the little things are made really well and are great values. Ok, my wishlist not yet fulfilled...those silver and opal ring/pendant pieces, and some more diamonds. Well, I'm off to check out the site and maybe go over and bother my neighbors. The lady next to me said she's making cookies today! Unfortunately, my sister went in to work today. I just called her to tell her to go home now before it gets worse. I think they may declare a state of emergency. The electriciy better stay on so I can at least play on the computer and watch TV. Yes, I am done all of my present shopping already. Talk to you later. (Saturday Dec 19 | post #460)

Hi Guys, I know there are 20% coupons out there to use, but if you've used them up and need another, I got this in email. DISCGRC153 for 15% off until 12/17. Just in case. Michele (Tuesday Dec 15 | post #380)

Good Morning, One of my friends emailed me this joke and I thought you guys would appreciate it. I'll take out the bad word at the end but you can add it. A lady walks into Tiffany's. She looks around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet and walks over to inspect it. As she bends over to look more closely, she unexpectedly farts. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone noticed her little oops and prays that a sales person wasn't anywhere near. As she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her. Good looking as well. Cool as a cucumber, he displays all of the qualities one would expect of a professional in a store like Tiffany's. He politely greets the lady with, 'Good day, Madam. How may we help you today?' Blushing & uncomfortable, but still hoping that the salesman somehow missed her little 'incident', she asks, 'Sir, what is the price of this lovely bracelet?' He answers, "Madam.. if you farted just looking at it - you're going to **** when I tell you the price. I thought that was cute. Anyway, I was bad again this morning. I ordered a whole bunch of little things as I couldn't resist using THREE coupons at once. And they all worked, 20% off, $20 off, and free shipping. I really hope we can do that again in between Christmas and New Year as I'll have more money then. BTW, I used paypal20 again, DISCMYT012 would not work at all. Has anyone used that one succesfully? I wish I could cook/bake. I can't at all nothing ever turns out. I've spent some time in Italy and my friends there taught me how to do pasta with a lot of different toppings/ways and that's about all I can do. Maybe I could make the fudge work though. Have a good day all. (Sunday Dec 13 | post #327)

Hi Ladies, Okay, I was bad this morning. I finally got a ring I've been looking at for a while. They never marked it down, but since reading Nan's post about using all the coupons I decided to go for it. It's # OHC052R. I don't have an opal in rose gold, which I love, and I also don't have one paired with pink tourmaline, another birthstone of October. So, if the opal has fire, I think it will be a nice one. It's always touchy ordering opals that you can't see in person first. They're all different. We'll see, I really hope I don't have to return it. If you guys check it out let me know what you think. I got the free shipping cause it was over 99 and just used the 20 percent and then the 20 off for over 100. Not a bad final price. The other day they had some preowned diamond rings for great prices. A 2ct in 14k wg was only 200. I'm so mad at myself for not getting it. Maybe they'll have some more coming up after Christmas. It's really cold here again today, not as bad as WV though. Too bad you and your stepson are in OK Donna. My friends have been setting me up on blind dates lately and I've been looking to meet some nice guys. No luck so far. I have to grocery shop and clean today and grade papers and write tests so it's going to be a long weekend. I think I want to get some more little things from jtv first though. Let me know if anyone has that opal ring already please. Thanks, Michele (Saturday Dec 12 | post #318)

Hi Ladies, You guys crack me up with all the things you have to do with your packages so your hubbies don't see them. Do they really get mad at you or just kind of scold you jokingly? Anyway, it's too late once they've arrived. Sending them back wastes money for nothing, so that doesn't make sense. Would that reasoning work? I can't believe how cold it is in OK. It's also been pretty cold here now, the coldest so far this year esp. for tomorrow and weekend. Yesterday I woke up and my whole yard was like a lake and I couldn't even get out my back door. I had to go out the front and walk around to my car. That was pretty worrying with the foundation and all, but the time I got back from work it was gone. Nan, I can't believe your packages are taking so long. Mine have been coming within the week. I finally got my opal bracelets too. I've ordered a few little things that should be here in the next few days. I also got the email with the $25 off, but really don't want to spend that much yet. It's kind of stupid to send a coupon that't good for only one day. I know the free shipping coupon expires today, so I might use that for some more small things. Yes, in the past they've had good after Christmas clearances, which is what I've been waiting for. I just found out that my job situation should be good for next semester, so I'll feel more secure spending after the holidays, when my credit card statements end and start over. I still want another diamond ring for my other dog. To give you an idea of some of the deals I've gotten over the years, last year or the year before they had a 1ct white diamond ring with an incredible gold weight on clearance early one morning that I got with a coupon and free shipping for around $100. It turned out to be beautiful and sold out fast. I don't know if they'll have deals like that again in this economy. I also got some other things, chr. diopsie, iolite for example both with .25ct diamonds for under $80. Those were the days. So we'll see what comes up this Dec/Jan. I hope they're not reading this! Well, I have to get some things done this morning before work and maybe some shopping. Later and good day, Michele (Thursday Dec 10 | post #270)

Hi Everyone, Nan, I know it's too late now, but I was not bidding on that fire opal. I hope you decided to get it. Your ring is beautiful. I never really got into fire opal, just the traditional kind. I would like to eventually get one though just to have in my collection. Perhaps next year. Joan, we're having pretty cold weather in Jersey as well. We're supposed to get a wintery mix again tonight. I work a few nights during the week, so I hope it isn't bad when I come home. I hate the cold and I get so depressed in the winter. Arlene I'm sorry about your hair. I hope some body building conditioners/shamp oos will help hide the problem until it goes away. The 092 coupon didn't work for me either, but the 091 and paypal did and I used them with the free shipping, which expires on the 10th. I was thinking about using it again before it does. Maybe because they have so many coupons out there right now the computers are getting confused? Anyone know why couponshare doesn't have the usual 10% and free shipping monthly coupons anymore? Well, I have to get some things done around here before work and I want to check out the site to see if I want anything else. I got emails that all of my stuff from the weekend already shipped. A few gifts and a few for me. Terrie, how are you doing? BTW, I'm 5'6", kind of in between you all. Have a good night, Michele (Tuesday Dec 8 | post #197)

Hi Terrie, I actually just used the 25% one you posted a while back for 1 item and that worked with my free shipping. Yeah! I only got a silver topaz and amethyst ring that was on sale, but it's pretty online and that might satisfy me for now. Are you shopping today. Try both coupons and see if those two work together. Couldn't hurt. (Sunday Dec 6 | post #164)

Good morning/afternoon, I suppose everyone has gone to bed already. I've been up a few hours getting stuff done, having coffee and going back and forth to the computer. I guess we're all on different time schedules. I just got this today in email. DISCHYU74P for free shipping until 12/10. It's good for entire cart online. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know if it works with other coupons. If so I'm getting a few things today. Arlene, I think I got lost on the other site with all of the posts, so I couldn't remember who said they lived in NJ. (I get distracted easily) Well, I'm in South Jersey, which sometimes seems like a different state altogether than North. The site says Maple Shade, but I'm actually much further south, about 20 min from Philly. NYC is usually about 2 hours, though I did make it there in an hour and a half once, in the snow too, but that was when I was young and reckless! I have some relatives who live in Elizabeth and we used to visit when I was a kid, but I don't remember it much. I know NJ has its issues, but it's not that bad. I like the change of seasons even though I dislike a long winter. Plus I can get to the cities pretty easily if I want. And then there's also Cape May which I love. Everything feels like it's close enough if I ever need it and we aren't as crowded down here as the north probably is. Do your friends live in the north still? My sister, nephew, and I are going to Philly to see the Nutcracker on Christmas Eve. We've been doing it every year for a while now and it's the one thing at Christmas I really look forward to. Christmas in the city is fun. Well, I'm off to do some possible shopping and try these coupons. Have a good sleep everyone. Michele (Sunday Dec 6 | post #162)

Hi Ladies, My mother just told me of something on Oprah I think where the doctor talked about new studies on cell phones and brain tumors. I don't use them that much but my sister does all the time. It's her only phone. I'm going to try to use them less now. Are you guys shopping tonight. I haven't yet. I went to my neighbor's and she talked my ear off all evening. She's been really nice to me since I moved in, she lives alone too, but boy can she talk. I haven't used the 25 coupon yet. Nothing is really moving me to buy lately, though I have an itch to shop. We'll see. I'm pretty bored tonight and hate this weather. It's tapered off but now it's cold and probably slippery. A nice warm seafood dinner sounds good right now. I'm watching some Christmas movies. (Saturday Dec 5 | post #146)

Hello again everyone, It's early afternoon now and it's snowing and sleeting all morning. I wanted to spend some time online, but my server went down. Just came back up, yeah! I've been reading all the posts and catching up. Thank you so much for all of the kind things you have said and for understanding. It's very nice. I think I will wait before finding a new "fur baby" though. When the time feels right I think I'll know. Financially I think it will be better in the spring and I want to get all this wallpaper down and paint first too. My father is going to make me a doggie calendar with all of their pictures in it, so that will be nice to have all year. This is the first snow we've had this year, so it's pretty but they don't expect more than an inch or two. I can't believe you're getting 6 in WV Terrie. I'm not ready for that yet, but it's nice to have a gloomy day as an excuse to stay in and do a lot of nothing for a while. I think it would make me feel better to buy something today! I'm pretty much spending the day between the TV and computer. I didn't even think of the mold thing for my sickness. Perhaps there's some in the soil that I picked up. It's clearing up now, but I don't want it coming back. I thought maybe it was the latex gloves or the mothballs I put out for the vermin in my yard too. I hope the mold isn't in the house somewhere. No, not married, which has its advantages and disadvantages. I teach writing and ESL and now that it's the end of the semester I have lots to finish up. Don't feel like it today though. Joan, I start shedding in the wintertime too and have pretty long hair. I think it's normal as the seasons change. I use "catwalk thickening conditioner" during this season. It builds volume and detangles, though I don't know if it's organic, probably not, but it works. I was waiting today for two opal bracelets to come in. They were the discounted tumbled ones that are now sold out. I think the postperson misplaced them as I got someone else's package. So who knows where they are. I'm holding the other package hostage until I get my bracelets. I'm not sure I want to put my email on here, but I'll send you a message so you'll have my address. I want to check out Jtv, but not sure I want to buy if I can't use a coupon with other offers. talk to you later. (Saturday Dec 5 | post #124)
