Should the US have universal healthcare?
first of all it is relativity, that is perspective, ie a person on horseback observes an arrow being shot at him, conversly if the arrow could observe the situation it would see the target, the rider on the horse observing the arrow. then it gets trickey these observations follow this path, a sphere rotating beneath them. now it goes further, the sphere, earth is moving in its orbit., and beyond that it is a solar system operating in its larger system a galaxy, and so on and so on. all of this velocity from a central point. its observable to each individual, in a unique way.so the rider thogh is sure of his perspective, he can not imagine no matter how hard he might try to understand the arrows point of view. its relativity. Susan Boyle's 'I Dreamed a Dream' tops U.S. album chart
I like her voice too. What is sad is that this world just cannot seem to accept anyone's talent unless it's packaged with a swelt young body and gift wrapped with a bow. I think it is admirable that she devoted her life to helping her mom and saved herself for later. That takes a good deal of restraint and unselfishness to make yourself wait. Then the world TENDS to reward you by not giving you a chance to prove yourself since you're older. Susan I think did indeed give "a wake up call". Makes you wonder what other talent is out there taking up dust on someone's shelf. I agree with you 100% when I heard of every one being shocked at her talent, I thought of something that happened years ago. (it might have been a joke, it was before my time) Marilyn Monroe suggests to Einstein: What do you say, professor, shouldn't we marry and have a little baby together: what a baby it would be - my looks and your intelligence! Einstein: I'm afraid, dear lady, it might be the other way around... Its too bad we are so wrapped up in the package (Yesterday | post #7)

It would be like telling a gearhead who built his hot rod that it was all a waste of time because he will still have to spend time tuning up his ride, and possibly replacing certain parts before he is ready to race. (Yesterday | post #70208)
Limbaugh Out of Control: Right winger links Obama to beatdown o...
Rush Is a Dick, Dick Cheney is a DICK, John Ashcroft is a Dick,Skooter Libby is a DICK, George Bush is a dick..etc etc these are facts just look what these weasels did and what we continue to learn of their secret escapades every week. Now Obama is in there and he is privy to all the BS the rest of us dont know about yet. So Obama is tip-toeing around this crap left to him by the villains. You can have your opinion against Obama, But Bush and his crew were criminal and that is fact. (Yesterday | post #1359)
Tolls May Rise For Bay Area Bridges 51min
SF the only city with a cover charge. its funny observation, but you always pay to go from the city with less resources to enter a city with more resources. from Hayward you have to pay to go to San Mateo, from Richmond you have to pay to go to San Rafael, from Oakland (or Marin) you have to pay to enter San Francisco. Cant remember the two cities the Dumbartan Bridge connects Fremont? and?? (Yesterday | post #1)
13 New Stem Cell Lines Released for Research
personally I think abortions are wrong. The thing good parenting results with ethical choices made by your children when they grow up. The thing is we have a law that allows abortions to happen, and abortions are going to happen regardless of what any law allows or restricts abortion rights. It is estimated that at least 20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage (estimates range from 15% to 75%). Most occur in the first two weeks after conception, and in many cases the mother is not aware of the pregnancy. I dont know what the statistics are for for women who die during pregnancy(from disease, accident etc.) So not all the Stem cells would actually come from abortions. People whose quality of life or chance for surviving disease like Christopher Reeves, Michael J Fox, and Ronald Reagan, could have a chance at living a full recovering life. If we want to have faith and live by your gut, raise your children to make moral decisions, but dont legislate it. (Thursday | post #10)
Should the US have universal healthcare?
I wouldent doubt that Obama had good intentions going into office, despite that he knew he had a big job to fix the mess we are in. I bet when He went into office he saw the hidden aspects to the issues. Some of those hidden from the public were simply for national security, but with inheriting the Geo Bush legacy (Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, etc) there was a lot of dirt that was created by those weasels, and so he has to deal with those issues with a hidden dimension. for example A report states categorically that bin Laden was hiding in Tora Bora when the U.S. had the means to mount a rapid assault with several thousand troops at least. It says that a review of existing literature, unclassified government records and interviews with central participants "removes any lingering doubts and makes it clear that Osama bin Laden was within our grasp at Tora Bora." The blame for blowing the chance to get bin Laden -- and for the current state of the war in Afghanistan -- is placed squarely on former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and his top commander Tommy Franks. I am certain in the following years we will find all kinds of not known before twist to the Bush legacy that Obama has to tip toe through. So when you go on bashing Obama, it is based on Opinion when you bash on Bush, well its fact, He and his cronies were villains. they are the ones that put us in this mess. (Thursday | post #70160)
BTW I come from a small rural conservative town, and I know the mix of left and the right in places like that, If I remember right the Rush Limbaugh hero worship was on a San Francisco forum! I know for a fact that in San Francisco Republicans(even middle of the road republicans) are the minority. yet if I was to believe what I find on topix that SF would be more conservative than the small town I grew up in. (Thursday | post #8)
Is it just me, or does it appear that TOPIX seems like a tool, like FOX NEWS, for the republicans? Sure you find a few democrats and liberals, but Ive seen forums on Rush Limbaugh that act like he was the son of god by 90% of the posters. I get this feeling that in some Office filled with cubicles, their are people coached to incite some agenda. Any thoughts? (Thursday | post #7)

At one time, not too long ago the concept of organ transplants were SCI FI, and not to long before that Vaccinations were looked at as being crazy (I mean inject part of the bacteria into yourself on purpose) thats why we need to look at facts and not react to our gut feeling. (Thursday | post #8)
