And that does make me sick. A firearm is supposed to be handled responsibly, and obviously there are people in our country who are trigger happy. But if a foreign enemy invaded us, the American people would be more cohesive. We just don't have a big threat to our security. But if we did, the American people would move as one and we would be unstoppable. The country is just in a f***ed up state right now, and it makes me sick. Our politicians are corrupt, our society and culture is as well. America is decadent. But I still believe the ideals are still worth fighting for. And no I won't. The U.S. has been outnumbered and outgunned before, and we overcame our odds. Take the Revolutionary War, for example. We beat off the most powerful army and navy in the world. Then again, our country isn't as virtuous as it was back then (and that does make me sick). But there are even isolated incidents in modern day warfare in which we overcome our obstacles. Take the Battle of Takur Ghar, for example (which took place early in March 2002). A group of Navy SEALs were sent to the top of a mountain named Takur Ghar in Afghanistan to set up an observation post. The mission went bad quick and two men got killed. They killed a large number of targets (Chechen Al Qaeda fighters; A.Q.'s best trained and equiupped fighters), but had to radio for an Army Ranger Q.R.F. (quick reaction force). They got there the next morning. They came in two helicopters. One got shot down and it's occupants were downslope from the enemy pinned down for a better part of the day. The other got delayed because of a bullshit fueling situation ad landed on the OTHER side of the mountain. They didn't meet any resistance, but that part of the mountain was more treacherous. They were getting winded and were puking so much (because of the altitude), that at one point they ditched non-essential gear in order to make themselves lighter. Remember, these aren't infantry grunts, these are spec ops guys. It goes to show that the thin air of the mountains can kick anyone's ass. Well, eventually, they ran into the remaining SEALs (all of whom were wounded; one of them having barely long to live) and they relieved the other group of Rangers, and all of them together (about 50 in all) eliminated the rest of the Chechens. It was the highest altitude U.S. Military personnel ever fought at. Five were killed; one SEAL, one Air Force Combat Controller (he was with the SEALs), one Air Force Pararescue Jumpers, one Ranger, and one Army Night Stalker. You know how many Chechens they killed (and they killed EVERY last one of them; we took NO prisoners that day)? Hmmm? OVER 200! The Rangers and SEALs had just about EVERY odd against them. They were against a numerically superior enemy, who happened to be A.Q.'s best trained and equipped fighters (not quite as well-equipped as we are, a lot better than your average A.Q. fighter) who by the way was used to that type of environment. They had a helo go down. Half of them were pinned down all day. The other half were either winded or badly wounded. They STILL kicked their asses. It goes to show that training, determination, efficiency, and nerves of steel can go a long way. The P.L.A. can send their malnourished soldiers at us all they want. We'll f***ing kill EVERY last one of them! They won't get ANY mercy from me, that's for sure..........  (Aug 10, 2012 | post #13293)

That's because one perception you have about a lot of Americans is correct- people here (especially in the South where I live) are really ignorant and know nothing about military strategy. I can tell you for a fact that if a war were to happen between the U.S. and the P.R.C., the P.L.A. would have enough food to feed its personnel for the first eight months. Americans don't go hungry. Class, morals, or pride? All I see in white women where I'm from (for the most part) is either women who are stuck up and tink they're better than everyone else, or white trash who get put in the Jail Report for shoplifting or DUI, or something like that. Talk about class, morals, and pride. So, let me guess, you're a white woman, aren't you? A Southerner I bet. Probably a registered Republican (I'm Conservative, too but I'm more Libertarian). Ha, it figures. You're probably vain like so many other white women , aren't you? It figures you would speak negatively about interracial dating. It has a bad effect on your little paradigm. You see a handsome and intelligent white male about your age who has made or is making something of himself with a lovely black woman who's also going somewhere in life and you think, "No, this isn't right. It isn't how it's supposed to happen. That man should be with me or some other attractive, respectable white woman.". I'm sorry, but it's the twenty first century. HA, well then again there is a little truth to what you say. I've seen it a little myself. But it's not a general rule. But even for the ones it applies to, I don't see why they would be. White women are so overrated. If anything, a white woman should shudder when she sees a black woman with the likes of a respectable white guy such as myself :). I forgot to mention that you white women are just so plain, while for some reason you all think that you are God's gift to men or something. There are more vain white women than vain women of any other race. And you say "handle" a white woman like you all are something special!? Ha, get in line! You all are the most plain and most unexciting group of women on the face of the Earth! If I can "handle" a black woman, you know damn well I can handle a white woman! White women act like they are God's gift to men or something, I mean seriously, in general, they are the MOST vain of women in any race.
