Thanks Brian, It looks like the BBC are going to town on their Elvis Presley coverage in 2010. http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Sunday | post #2)
Thanks Jim,I'm sure you will have a very interesting visit to Tupelo. Maybe you will meet someone with a car that can give you a lighning tour of the city where coaches do not venture, just to get a feel for the surroundings where Elvis spent his early years. Your winnings from the quizes would finance a Taxi! :-) Maybe you would like to meet up with Roy Turner? http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Sunday | post #122)
Good stuff Jim. Don't miss Tupelo Mississippi when you are so close to Elvis Presley's birthplace. Beethoven's birthplace in Bonn gets a helluva lot of visitors. But I love Mozart's music too. :-) http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Thursday Nov 19 | post #120)

Terry Wood (RIP) and Elvis Presley Photos.
"TUPELO – James Terry Wood, 79, longtime Tupelo resident, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following an extended illness. He was born in Corinth on Nov. 29, 1929, to the late Mr. Guy Edward Wood and Wilma Clifton Wood. An accomplished photographer, he is perhaps best known as the former owner of Terry Wood Photography, founded in 1954. His award-winning works were well known both nationally and throughout Mississippi. His homecoming photos taken in 1956 of Elvis Presley have been used in media and books worldwide. He loved to tell people, “the entire world recognized two words,” Coca Cola, and Elvis Presley." Because of a little booklet of Elvis 1956 Tupelo Concert photos bought in Dublin Ireland I came into email contact with Terry Wood through Roy Turner of Tupelo. He was a Great photographer. Sad news to read of his passing. Full Obituary here: http://nems360.com /pages/full_story/ push?article-Obitu aries+Nov-+17-+200 9%20&id=450588 5- (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #1)
The search for Elvis' roots leads to a humble shack in Mississippi
Elvis Presley stories just keep on popping up. We can now correct the errors. :-) http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #1)
Vintage holiday album review: "Elvis' Christmas Album"
Elvis' Christma Album was the first Elvis Presley album I purchased inDecember 1957. It had a different cover to the one illustrated. The song "O Little Town of Bethlehem" by a Rock 'n' Roll singer was met by derision by some fools in the press. It's now become the best selling Christmas album ever! That fact is due to the eclectic mix of songs contained on the Album. The very exciting song "Santa Claus is Back in Town" was issued as a single here in Europe with, if I'm not mistaken, "Santa Bring My Baby Back to Me", as the B Side. The beautiful Gospel songs gave many of us quite a surprise. The Album is now available on CD this Festive season. http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #2)
Yes Jim, 2010 has all the signs of being a significant year for sales of Elvis Presley recordings. We may also see more veteran Elvis fans arrive as "oldies" are encouraged to take up use of the internet. http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #14)
President Obama May Attend 'Viva Elvis' In Las Vegas
Thanks Brian that would certainly generate a lot of attention for Elvis's music. Hope it comes to pass. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #4)
Recently Elvis Presley is a regular Goldilocks with his hair selling for 70,000 then a strand for more than 1,000 pounds sterling! Gold records, Gold Cadillac, Gold piano, gold suit. Golden voice and the man with a heart of Gold. That news has spread too. :-) http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Monday Nov 16 | post #12)

GRACELANDGROUPIE, Yes we went to the Circle G ranch ans spoke with the very nice ladies there. They gave us two large posters featuring a 1950s Elvis, as gifts! http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Sunday Nov 15 | post #3)
Elvis Presley fans come from all walks of life and far too often are described in a most superficial manner. Nevertheless plays like this will no doubt be lauded by critics unaware of the wonderful eclectic mixture the Elvis fandom represents. http://irelandtoo. blogspot.com (Sunday Nov 15 | post #1)
Here we will attempt to concentrate on all the positive aspects of the extraordinary Elvis Presley story. The media provides, day in day out! Beware of Trolls posting anonymously. They often spread lies.
