I know a handful of single mothers who worked and made too much money to get assistance and struggled. They were honest on their applications and received no assistance. When others who were in there saw what one wrote on the application they laughed and said she needed to not be as truthful. Wow......my husband is from here and can't remember when Island Road was ever repaved. He's 31. I've seen them filling pot holes lately. When you get closer to Patin Dyke it is great. But driving towards Jarreau it's awful. Island Dude, you're right, them cane trucks are vicious! I stay as far away from them as possible....which can be impossible during the harvest. Good! Hope it survives because I'm tired of driving to BR.....and it's no good if you can't drive because you need a part. Now....who wants a Target? How about some sushi? How about a movie theater?
