AEP Rate Increase

American Electrical Power asks for a 45 percent increase over three years. A 15 percent annual increase amounts to about $16 more for the average user monthly. Here goes another nail in the coffin of the consumer.  (Thursday Aug 14 | post #1)

Bettsville Cracking Down on Curfew

The curfew crackdown seems to be working. We see very few kids out after curfew these days. Kudos for Chief Mason and his crew.  (Wednesday Aug 13 | post #9)

FAR WORSE TIMES

The point of drilling our own oil is to keep it for ourselves. We are living in a global economy but that doesn't me can't protecct our own interests. You seem to have a paranoid view of Arabs behind every tree. If we begin to drill now, we can have our own oil on the market in 5 years. I actually p;an to live that long.  (Saturday Aug 9 | post #199)

Bettsville Cracking Down on Curfew

Our leaders are amateurs. It's not just them who don't care, nobody has bothered to run against any of them. In the last election Linda Davis got 128 votes because she was the only one running.  (Saturday Aug 9 | post #8)

Volunteer shortage prompts call for paid paramedic

My trip in the Bettsville Emergency Squad cost $818.00. Where does the money go?  (Tuesday Aug 5 | post #2)

Bettsville Cracking Down on Curfew

Don Mason is a strong Chief of Police. He knows what needss to be done. The Mayor needs to let him do his job. The new guy Max has overstepped his bounds more than once but that is being handled. Bettsville doesn't need to die. There is just no motivation on behalf of our leaders to change things.  (Tuesday Aug 5 | post #6)

FAR WORSE TIMES

Alternate sources are many years away. Pelosi raised the temp in congress to 77 degrees for August. The Dems immediately went on vacation for August. I finally talked to Senator Sherrod Brown. H explained his environmental concerns with drilling the ANWR. I explained that I didn't care if he had to drill through a Caribou's head, the people want oil. Make those phone calls people!  (Tuesday Aug 5 | post #197)

SB346

It's a disease that's spreading in government. They can't solve the big problems so they nit-pick on stupid things.  (Jul 14, 2008 | post #4)

I've been fighting it since the beginning. The government needs to get the hell out of our lives.  (Jul 13, 2008 | post #2)

Bettsville Cracking Down on Curfew

They just need to identify the kids and get warrants. It's basically the same kids every night. They cry that there's nothing to do here. Not after curfew, no, and there shouldn't be. They should be home.  (Jul 6, 2008 | post #3)

Bettsville Cracking Down on Curfew

Ya gotta love this one. We only have police a couple days a week. The kids laugh & run when they see them knowing a foot chase is not gonna happen. Our new officer is being paid a whole $7 an hour for 30 hours a week. You get what you pay for.  (Jul 3, 2008 | post #1)

FAR WORSE TIMES

It won't happen overnight but you can already see the signs. Our major companies are being bought out by foreign companies every day. We need to get our lazy asses in gear while there's still time. I don't care if we have to drill through a polar bear's butt to get it...we need oil.  (Jun 28, 2008 | post #187)

FAR WORSE TIMES

It'll be fine. We have a "global economy" now. They'll bail us out of this. Of course, they will also own us. I gotta go, it's time for my Chinese lesson.  (Jun 28, 2008 | post #184)
