Remember, 'blow-ins' turn into 'grow-ins'. Every municipality needs new blood from time to time. Revitalization often requires some sort of effort from outside the area. I also live in the JAM area, going on 20 years. I've never had any real problem here. I think the current wave of construction in the Hamilton canal area will be great for the city. This trail was YEARS in the planning. Much of the funding was allocated and spent a long time ago. Yes, we're in a recession, but look around, the world isn't at a standstill. There are some public work projects, and privately funded projects till under construction. The important thing is that the trail is built, and available for all to use. Go check it out.
