The Morning Call

A vote for Obama would bring change

As Joe Friday would say "Just the facts ma'am". - I do not need to lie and I recall Obama making a comment the Clinton years weren't all they seemed to be. The throes of failure were planted in the Clinton years and last I heard the Republicans were trying to raise a warning of impending disaster. - As for the world luvin' on us, since when? Since at least the 60's I recall no great universal love feast.  (2 hrs ago | post #173)

Trinkle's owner says closing unfair

Was she ever a resident of Allentown? - The Mayor should be putting all his energy into getting rid of as many rentals as he can, not businesses that are catering to the ever declining quality of Allentown resident.  (14 hrs ago | post #40)

Europeans are having a harder time paying for their benefits. Financing their lifestyle has become more difficult and like the US, they have a aging population that is going to cause a bulge in social payments. This isn't often discussed in your typical mass media, but does come up in business publications.  (14 hrs ago | post #167)

Revised bailout bill approved

Obama, the financial genius that runs around the country chanting "change" and "hope" was one of the supporters of the reckless loan train wreck. He should vote for the "bail out" package, he worked with Acorn to help promote a lax mortgage lending policy in the Chicago area.  (Saturday | post #23)

The Morning Call

Revised bailout bill approved

I gather you missed Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank back slapping and high fiving themselves over the passage of the bill. -- Congress congratulated itself for getting the taxpayer to foot the bill for their failure. -- It wasn't just Bush. At least Bush raised concerns over the impending credit meltdown with Fannie Mae.  (Saturday Oct 4 | post #11)

Congress clears hotly contested bailout bill

I think part of your response was clipped off as I didn't see anything from you to show I am wrong outside of your opinion. -- I love everybody and I really love those knee jerk reflex responses from liberals who have little to say.  (Friday Oct 3 | post #67)

The Morning Call

Congress clears hotly contested bailout bill

Though it's generally painted that Wall Street is a Republican stronghold, you'll find a Democrat under every financial rock there. -- It's a no lose for the Democrats, they bail out business AND low income types. -- Keep in mind, San Francisco, CA (Nancy's home town) has a lot of financial types well connected to Wall Street.  (Friday Oct 3 | post #54)

McCain and Palin coming to Lehigh

First, numeracle superiority is not absolute control in Congress. -- When ever a problem has mainly Democrats involved, you always hear "there's enough blame to go around". -- Maybe Nancy Pelosi should have worried more about Fannie Mae instead of sticking us with CFL bulbs?  (Friday Oct 3 | post #32)

McCain and Palin coming to Lehigh

Interesting combination. I like Jindal a lot.  (Friday Oct 3 | post #29)

A shocking discovery on G.E. toasters

I bet GE's NBC commentator Keith Olbermann was behind this, hoping they all would have been sold to Republicans.  (Friday Oct 3 | post #2)

World leaders point fingers at U.S. GLOBAL FREE-MARKET CRISIS
