Truck Tonnage Hits Smallest Drop of 2009

no that was just a season adjustment as for rock bottom, I'm not sure we have hit it yet. the freight index has been down 12 straight months. you have companies like Yellow Freight that are still in massive financial trouble. with the news last month Christmas orders placed is down 20% to 30% depending on who you listen too. and now they want to look into changing the hours of service again.. In all honesty I am close to 19 years in this industry and looking from this from both sides as an O/O and also as a former company driver, I can not an upside right now. as long as companies keep laying off and people are filing for unemployment that means they will be buying less. I see no up swing in the movement of freight for at least 6 months.  (Thursday | post #4)

yep as I thought when presented with cold hard facts you have jack shit to say... another Liberal, incompetent, jackass who spouts off shit but won't challenge the cold hard facts when they are presented in back and white. all my posts were fact based and the best you could reply with was "but quoting http. e-sites, with no original thoughts of your own, means "butkus" in this World!!" and "casting pearls over swine's ears".. I read your arguments but they hold no water, the NOAA is the leading group in the WORLD on ocean and atmospheric weather and they have shown a slow decline in worlds temperature for the last 11 years. the same decline in temperature that matches the same decrease in sun solar activity. there is a reason they quit calling it "global warming" and started using "climate change" and that is because they found out that they were WRONG.  (Saturday Nov 28 | post #44)

The only question I have is why were they not wearing the gas masks required by most all the states? Ammonia just like chlorine will kill ya way too quick. it is a real shame they did not protect themselves knowing the danger. ( I can speak from Experience, I haul containers from the ports including bulk haulers )we are required to have gas masks when picking that type of load up. the masks are a must use when hooking up hoses to load or unload the container.  (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #18)
