ten months post-op cementless total hip replacement still...
I had a total hip replacement May 28, 2012 (6 weeks ago) here in Leon, Mexico, and from the very next day, I've been PAIN FREE! It was the traditional approach, by one of the country's top surgeons: the end of four torturous years continues to be a true miracle for me, at 74. I was a very active cyclist and gave that up, and I simply want to say that I believe 90% of the pain all of you may be feeling is muscular...quite differnt from bone involvement. I certainly have it too, but it's NOTHING compared to the destroyed femur head. Getting those GM muscles very strong and exercising is the secret, though one is understandably tired after any major operation. Mexico and India really have the best orthopedic procedures with highly skilled doctors, so perhaps I'm extra lucky living in this amazing country. (Jul 8, 2012 | post #68)
