'The Christians and the Pagans' by Dar Williams: a song review
LOL Albion you are cool even when I only understand half of what you say! I still like the song tho. ;p (Tuesday Dec 8 | post #3)
Hey Silent Whispers, I picked that response at random. I could have just as easily picked any one of the other posts where she appears to be bickering with no one but herself. The majority of the posts she makes contain multiple queries. You are right tho, I should have known better than to comment on any of them. Good judgement is the first thing to go when I break out the Scotch. It is difficult enough trying to decipher Natalia's pearls when I'm sober. I akin it to conversing with a Zen master: Before I had studied Zen for thirty years, I saw mountains as mountains, and waters as waters. When I arrived at a more intimate knowledge, I came to the point where I saw that mountains are not mountains, and waters are not waters. But now that I have got its very substance I am at rest. For it's just that I see mountains once again as mountains, and waters once again as waters. - Ching-yuan (Tuesday Dec 8 | post #54)
Tori Amos releases a 'solstice album' sure to become a pagan Yu...
Nonsense! I'M THE BOOZEMEISTER MEISTER BOOZER!! Okay, yeah I'm shit-faced. (Monday Dec 7 | post #15)

No. No. I can honestly say all my dreams have come true at this point. =) (Monday Dec 7 | post #13)
Granted, I may be an idiot. Not to mention I have a hell of a buzz at the moment and I know nothing about the Kolduny. But I have to ask, is there some rule in that belief system that says everything must be formed as question? I can't help but notice the majority of what you say ends in a "?" It's like watching some horrific Jeopardy marathon. Seriously, don't worry about then/than so much and learn when to use the question mark. I think it will make your tirades much easier to read. Just my two cents. =) (Monday Dec 7 | post #51)

That is truly awesome. If only every Yule season could be like that. Thank you for sharing. =) (Monday Dec 7 | post #1)

I love her music but I also think she sounds like a cat in heat getting an anal probe. =) (Monday Dec 7 | post #10)
I have always thought of myself as a solitary pagan since I don't work with a coven or group but the simple act of reading this thread has given me pause to wonder how solitary I really am. The internet is a bottomless well of information there to sate my unquenchable thirst for knowledge but it is ALSO a vast social network. If I incorporate ideas from the internet pool of information into my religious practice am I still a solitary pagan? If I meet with the same group of internet friends regularly, in "The Circle" chat room, to discuss magic and spell craft, am I part of a coven? I find that a question can seldom be answered by a this or that. There is almost always a blurring of the lines. And it is usually the blurring that makes life so interesting. :) (Monday Dec 7 | post #36)
What the heck is a Christian Wiccan?
Good point Grandpa. This is exactly right. You really can't determine anything until you establish definitions. (Nov 29, 2009 | post #268)
What the heck is a Christian Wiccan?
Sorry Some Stone Dude. I totally messed up that last post but hopefully you can still read it. (Nov 28, 2009 | post #263)
What the heck is a Christian Wiccan?
I totally agree with you here. Original sin is a crock. It was probably made up by the church to keep the masses in line. (Nov 28, 2009 | post #262)
I can't argue any of these points. You are correct it is discrimination and it is imo solely because gays(especially gay males) are the minority. The world is ruled by straight men(well, it's really ruled by the straight women who control them, but still...) you get the point. Straight men find two women being sexual erotic, a man and woman being sexual erotic, and two men being sexual disgusting. As long as this is the case there will always be controversy and double standards. Sorry, I don't agree with it but neither do I see a solution. :( (Nov 28, 2009 | post #832)
I agree there is no difference and there is obviously a double standard. However, I will attempt to explain it like this: There is nothing wrong with two hippos kissing either but I don't want to see it. Just something to think about. :) (Nov 28, 2009 | post #784)
