The only way they can do this without a vote is to call it a 'loan' - We will get it back when we file our returns [or will we, we may just get an 'I.O.U.] They have already 'borrowed' taxes we pay to city & county [example, most of property tax pd to city/county has been 'borrowed' by the sate, which is why city/counties are low on funds for stuff like firefighters, fixing roads, policemen, etc.] (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #3)

North Coast parks take a hit

something we noticed when coming back from a cross-country road tril last summer (first week of August) we drove alont the west shore of Lake Tahoe - California side. There was a large privately-owned campground that was PACKED FULL of people, kids, tents, etc. The state-owned campgrounds were NOT. One parking lot had THREE cars ! One [state]campground we 'toured thru' for about 10-15 minutes (was about 4/5 full) and many of the campers were gathered in one site, heard them getting 'DO's & DO NOT's from a state-dressed camphost. DITTO ~ and my kid doesn't 'trim dope' [whatever that means]. he grew up with severe asthma/allergies, stayed home because of physical/social limitations, and is considered disabled. YOU miss the POINT - the cops did NOT force their way in. The doors were locked, not broken into. There were no broken windows - How did the cop get in? the door were locked - how did they know who was 'supposed' to be living in the home? ALL my neighbors know my son lives here.
