Lets not forget the fountions. They closed them down, and no telling how long it was nasty. And that was suppose to be a upscale place too. Penking Gardens was the most nasty thing I believe I ever saw down on south Lewis. Their kitchen was NASTY.... Out their back door where they threw the grease out, maggots all over.... I think that the people that frauded the city out of serious money claiming over time should be arrested for fraud. IF the actual time was spent working, so be it, but, the person that claimed over double his normal pay, thats kinda hard to swallow. Supervisors that didn't watch their crews times should be held accountable as well... Do each department not have some type budget they need to follow? (Nov 22, 2008 | post #34)

I always thought the place was real clean, and very homey (is that a word?) Inspectors are suppose to find violations, thats their job.. They gonna find something no matter if it is something just real minor. I love that place, and go there as often as I can. I'm excited they will be open again.. I wanna be there opening night! I honestly don't know a lot about this E.Coli, but, how I understand it is, they wouldn't even have to touch the food.... picking up a couple trays, putting one back, hands on the little still bars ya slide your tray down in front of the food.... next person comes along, and rubs their hands on the same spot.... bathroom doorknobs.... the list is endless. This type stuff could happen at a hospital restaurant as well, or even outback for that matter.. I don't believe that ANY business would knowingly expose their customers to E.Coli or anything else like that. This was NOT CC's fault I feel sure. (Nov 21, 2008 | post #13)

That might work too... I know Bishops at 41st and garnett is like that. I have no problem with it at all... I DO like CC, it's a place I like to go... I don't care who dishs up the food, me or an employee. I worked in a restaurant once.... My 1st job at 15 was at dennys at 41st and yale. CC always provided good food.... It's quiet.... I'm deaf, and I have a cochlear implant, so quite is good for me, I can "hear" the people I am with much better. (Nov 21, 2008 | post #12)
