Jaliek Rainwalker is Not Forgotten

Kim: That's a good place to display possible evidence. Why not have the news air it so it could reach more people? ______________ Kim, sorry. I didn't type that correctly. Was tired last night. lol. Apparently, a man said he saw a young man who looked like Jaliek at a theatre called Colonie...watching a Batman movie. He called the police. The police pulled video and they found the young man. They then gave the video tape of the "look alike / Jaliek" to Kerr's attorney. Kerr's attorney said they would release the videotape to the FOX NEWS network on Wed morning. Thus, we can all see for ourselves. Sorry for the confusion.  (Wednesday Aug 13 | post #691)

Supposedly they Kerr's attorney is going to release the video of the possible sighting of Jaliek at the Colonie showing of Batman tomorrow morning, per Fox news. (A man phoned in that he beleived Jaliek was at that theatre. They have video footage...it's with Kerr's attorney.)  (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #685)

Jaliek Rainwalker is Not Forgotten

I've always felt....and still do to this day...that Jaliek is alive and that Stephen arranged some kind of "giving of him away". I have never changed my view and it's my deep gut instinct. I believe he "sold" him to some kind of over zealous religous "cult" that lives out west or somewhere in their own "camp" or place that is out of the way. Stephen and Jocelyn had already made the decision to "give him back" prior to Jaliek going on the "retreat ". I believe while he was gone, that is when the plans were put in place. Stephen picked up Jaliek, took him to his favorite place to eat, let him ride in the front seat (out of guilt) and then someone met them and off they went with Jaliek to "his new home". It's even my guess that Jaliek didn't even mind leaving. He probably assumed anywhere was better than back to the conditions he lived in before with his adopted parents. It's important that Jaliek's photo/posters be continually posted in every possible place around the USA and Canada. This has always been my deepest feelings and I cannot shake it. Keep on posting Jaliek's pictures, posters and keep getting the word out. Someone somewhere may know something. Prayers always.  (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #682)

DON'T FEED THE TROLLS BY RESPONDING!!!!  (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #656)

Jaliek Rainwalker is Not Forgotten

Mommy Joy, Do not respond to a single poster who are here to do nothing more than create havoc and utilize their paranoia's towards malicious gossip. No police department is going to get involved in counting money from a bake sale and request to see receipts. For goodness sakes. Schools have bake sales everyday. The IRS does not come to pound on someone's door after a garage sale because their children sold lemonade and cookies. We are not talking hundreds of thousands of dollars here. However, if you wish to organize a fundraising benefit in which you can post on the web for donations, then contact your state and apply for a specific registered number and you can then add a donation button to Jaliek's website to a paypal account. It's quite easy. It just takes completing a number of papers and assigning a chairperson and all receipts for all expenses are saved and filed. This way you can reach out to many people as opposed to the few dollars here and there collected at bake sales. Here is the link to sign up. This will benefit your efforts because you can reach out in many more ways than just bakesales and car washes. Also, you can then utilize the organization to reach out to hold larger events for community awareness. (concerts, benefit dance, benefit golf drive, etc etc.): http://www.oag.sta te.ny.us/charities /forms/frpforms.ht ml And don't respond to the trolls. Don't apologize to them. They'll just continue to use hurtful words to instigate and create havoc. The clear words of "nobody should be searching for Jaliek and leave it to the police" should tell you what you are dealing with. IGNORE THEM. Hugs.  (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #655)

Jaliek Rainwalker is Not Forgotten

Princess: Wow! I dont know about you but when someone donates $100 - thats a lot of money and very very generous - especially in todays economy. __________ Lavanda: Yes, and that barely covers the gas for a couple cars to get to the search. You shouldnt be doing that. You should be paying your own gas for the love of Jaliek. __________________ ___ Princess: You shouldnt be doing that. You should be paying your own gas for the love of Jaliek _________________ Lavanda: You're not understanding my point. Those that go to the searches for Jaliek DO pay for their own gas in their cars. Hence is why I said that it all adds up what people are donating. There are "donations " that cannot be converted to a monetary value...such as time involved. For you to whine over the fact you baked a cake and donated a few bucks really portrays you in a negative fashion. What are you expecting? The word DONATE is just that....one donates without expecting anything in return. You are asking for your donation back and slandering good people because you believe any of the funds are not being used for the search of Jaliek and should be used for the reward money? That's not how it works. You also stated people should stay home and quit looking for Jaliek. That's not how it works, either. Anyone that donates money knows it is going towards the EFFORTS OF FINDING JALIEK...whether that be towards holding events, paying for flyers, printing, used to pay professional searches, rentals of boats, etc etc etc....quite honestly....you need to stop your whining on how it "should be". Until you have a lost loved one...quit judging on the ways others are doing things to find their lost and missing loved ones. I'm done chatting with you about this. Fact is, if everyone was wise....they would just ignore any of your posts that reference on what "should be done".  (Monday Aug 11 | post #581)

Princess: The bake sale shouldnt have cost anything. The baked goods were all donated. __________________ ______ Well, let's not forget the expenses to hold the bake sales. Somebody had to pay for the posters announcing it. The flyers that went out. Fact is, the very same people you are accusing of partying with funds did a majority of the baking themselves! We are not talking about hundreds or thousands of dollars either, It's a pretty sure bet those that are organizing the fundraisers/bake sales and searches have spent far more of their own money than what has probably been donated. I think you should give it up. Move on to some other forum or thread if you feel this one is not up to par....bashing the family and making accusations makes you look far worse than anything you're accusing them of. Just my opinion.  (Monday Aug 11 | post #554)

Princess: There are too many cop shows on TV. Everyone has to be so dramatic. I would think that the cops are much better handling things like this than the average person who doesnt know what they are doing and doesnt know what to do. The cops have their eyeballs peeled all the time. They watch everything around them. They are trained for that. You are actually making it worse for Jaliek if hes being held hostage. When the hostage takers think that no one is interested then they goof up and make mistakes. Thats how they get caught. __________________ _________ You're watching too many tv shows, Princess. This is real life. Would you just sit back and wait for the police to find your lost missing loved one? I think not. Think before you post anymore. What happened to you anyhow? Where is the compassion? Even a huge case has no more than 20 cops on it and that is at the onset. As time moves on...one is lucky to have 2-3 cops working the case of their missing loved one....and for the record, those cops are not out doing physical searches....they are doing investigative work and talking to people............ ...not searching. Search efforts NEEDS to be orchestrated and done by real people who have care to help. Otherwise, it would not get done. But you should know this.  (Monday Aug 11 | post #543)

It really bothered me to swing by and check up on Jaliek's thread and to begin reading all the accusations. For those who are complaining and spreading their paranoia's into malicious gossip....don't donate. Stay away. Nobody is making you. Personally, when I donate money to a cause...it's because I am doing so out of the goodness of my heart and for the purpose of the cause.....I don't require "proof"; I don't care about tax deductions; I'm pretty confident that those complaining probably did not put more than $100 towards anything, anyhow. For heaven's sakes. Shame on those who are trying to blast out their paranoia's online with the hopes of having others follow. Is that what you want to see happen Princess? Do you want to create a host of people to just walk away and not help in the efforts of finding Jaliek? It takes money. It takes donations. IT takes people with good hearts who do not have ulterior motives. Please. Stop the gossip and inuendo's. Personally, if it means that much to you...I will personally mail you the cupcakes it takes to have you meet your donation. I'm pretty sure it would be no more than a couple dozen. Sad. Very sad.  (Monday Aug 11 | post #541)

Jaliek Rainwalker is Not Forgotten

Daily there are google alerts of human bones, human bodies, being found all over the United States. Does one not realize that Barbara, Joy, Sandy and the rest have to deal with the lumps in their hearts and the pain of not knowing where Jaliek is....that they should even have to respond to ridiculous accusations of where the fundraising money is going? It's pretty obvious to me where it's going. There have been ongoing searches, balloons, bake sales, posters, buttons, and all sorts of other expenses that are incurred to get the word out.  (Monday Aug 11 | post #540)

Obviously those who are complaining about "where the money is going" has never had to organize any kind of event. The costs add up quite fast. We are talking about a solid group of loving people who have personally known and loved Jaliek and does anyone for a split second think that they would use this opportunity to tuck away a few bucks in their pockets when their loved Jaliek is missing? Shame on those who are even questioning such.  (Monday Aug 11 | post #539)
