Looking for former residence

I am looking for information on old friends but cannot find any records in New Franklin or Howard county. So confused...The last names are Renner or Slater, to start. How far do you live from your hometown?

I too have bounced around. Went to 21 schools before graduating in Columbus KS. Loved every minute of it but I do miss some friends I met along the way. Now I can't find some of them. Still, knowing the same people, walking past the same trees and houses, knowing only one school....EVERY DAY of ones' life still bores me just to think of it.
