Judge overturns California's ban on same-sex marriage

I have a real problem with one person (the judge) deciding that the majority is wrong. Issue aside, it feels like communism to me. We are let to believe we have a voice but when it comes time to speak it seems someone has cut out our vocal cords! http://www.lakecou ntyfreelancejobs.c om  (Jun 11, 2011 | post #76052)

Times are hard during this recession for everyone, but they are especially hard for those of us here in Lake County. It seems we all know someone who is out of a job or is having to commute one-and-a-half to two hours one way to find a way to support themselves and their families. My own husband has been out of regular work for over two years now. Thank goodness he is a jack of all trades and is good at selling himself and his services. In order to make ends meet he usually commutes up to two weeks a month to Fairfield, Sacramento, Ukiah – ANYWHERE that won’t eat away all the money he earns after paying food, lodging, gas, and other commute related expenses. He picks up jobs by word of mouth and by business cards he passes out while on the job or at Subway or even Wal-Mart. He talks to others who are in the same boat we are and it can be very disheartening. He also stops by construction sites to talk and pass out his cards. He says he is always shocked to learn of a painter that has come from Santa Rosa or a Tile Man who has driven from Ukiah. He often wonders if these local builders don’t realize they could get local help of the same or better quality even cheaper just by hiring local tradesmen. There is a way! I would like to introduce Lake County Freelance Jobs.com. This site will be committed to keeping local jobs local. Project owners can post jobs, set requirements, state special needs for any job they need done. Job seekers can browse any area they are proficient in and bid on these jobs. Project owners can choose between bidders on their project or job and be assured of quality work for the price they can afford and Job Seekers can once again make a living in Lake County. This site will be free until July 01, 2011. Email support@lakecounty freelancejobs.com for any questions.  (Jun 11, 2011 | post #1)
