The appropriate officials certified the question's placement on the ballot, as well as it's subsequent victory. Just more evidence you have little acquantance with reality, let alone the greater question of truth. And if my opinion means nothing, then why reply? (Gotcha!) (2 hrs ago | post #37)
Wow, so you believe there were riots spanning nearly four years after the assassination of MLK? (Exaggeration is typical of some one attempting to shore up a weak premise for an argument, and BTW, you should be more precise in your wording; the riots were in response to MLK's murder) And they were centered in the Hill, with more minor involvement in the downtown area, Homewood and the Northside. I was there, too. And your really stretching any possible relevance that riots forty years ago could have to a professional football game played this afternoon. Don't try to establish your bona fides through an historical reference from four decades ago, bub! (2 hrs ago | post #8)
Does bar play a role in violence?
I've discovered an interesting contradiction with you, Old Cynic; you state you trust no politician, and claim there's no reason for secrecy in our government at any level... but your posts clearly demonstrate you're a fan of Da' Dubya Bush, who jealously guarded his own government's secrets, while engaging in domestic espionage against American citizens that clearly demonstated that he believed they should have no secrets from their government. The mental disabilities of old age can be tough, eh, old man? (2 hrs ago | post #3)
Hey "Stop Him Now," why have you abandoned your former moniker? It's not like it isn't obvious who you are. A bit of camouflage from a former "senior military officer?" Actually, the latter that was the true camouflage. (3 hrs ago | post #32)
Or so you say; anyone as immoral as to argue for smoking in public venues is certanly not beyond lying. Or trying to assuage your guilt by re-writing you own history. (Saturday | post #23)
Well, my sincere thanks to the good folks at the RWJ Foundation... good work! (Saturday | post #4)
Fewer Ohioans lighting up than in past
Good gawd, a nicotine addict calling upon the example of the hallowed ant-war social protest movement of the 60s to add some element of respectability a filthy, disgusting, and invasive as well as self-destructive habit. In that analaogy, smokers would be the murderous, amoral warmongers! Smoke all you want, but not in any public venue, or in the presence of minors, if you have claim a scrap of morality in your person. (Saturday | post #13)
County plans to appeal reassessment plan
The man is without a doubt politically ambitious... but a low-life? By the way, looking at your photo,I never knew you were female, or a Disney fan. But did ya' know ya' look alot like Senator Nancy Pelosi? (Saturday | post #2)
Allegheny County Police is there a need for them?
Good gawd, boy, you're positively enamored of the continued display your ignorance. Check the City's website; I said candidate, son, and they can begin the process with 30 credits. But more importantly, it would seem you're more put off by your belief patronage drives county police hiring, and not governmental efficiency, as you claim. And did the "college " requirement you sapecifically touted for the county sheriff's office prevent the corruption that tainted Sheriff DeFazio's office just a few years ago? Like Frank, you've obviously got an ax to grind that you'd like to cloak in more palatable motives. (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #31)
Less water usage blamed for possible rate increase in city
That would indeed begin to explain the atrocious water "loss" rate in the city authority I've read about. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #7)
Allegheny County Police is there a need for them?
Whoops, meant to say "Tim." (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #29)
Allegheny County Police is there a need for them?
Since "Frank" says something on an anonymous opinion board, it's necessarily true, Charlie? You're letting your gullability show there a bit, son. And the City of Pittsburgh, for example, merely seeks candidates with 30-60 accredited course hours at a university, college... or a trade or technical school. There is no degree requirement. And the Pittsburgh Police is the major police force in western PA. With the tone of such comments about the county police, it would seem you're motivated by more than efficiencey and "good government" as well, eh, Charlie?. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #28)
Panel Meeting To Discuss Proposed Tuition Tax In Pittsburgh
I don't necessarily agree with the premise underlying your comments, but I do find your point to be cleverly made, and with a biting humor worthy of a capital "C" cynic! (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #2)
Allegheny County Police is there a need for them?
Again, little boy, might I suggest you actually read someone's posts before you run off at the mouth, yet again? But then, anyone who resorts to ad hominem attacks has obviously exhausted their capacity for rational argument. You're a sad little boy, so probably to be more pitied than chastized, though, I would imgaine. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #26)
H1N1 vaccine offered to priority groups Saturday
The establishment of priorities for particular groups of potential vaccine recipients represent a public health strategy designed to best contain a pandemic infection. It has absolutely nothing to do with "equal justice." (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #11)
