Methadone clinic - Community must speak up on issue
Methadone can be used for different things. I had a blowed up disc in my back and it was given to me to reduce the swelling in my spinal cord. I was directed to take 10mg 3 times a day. I toke it the first time and it was not bad at all. When I took it the 2nd time it put me out amoung the stars and it was a god awful feeling. I can not imagine why any one would want to feel that way. I stopped taking that day. I think that if you are taking drugs to get high that are not prescribed for you then you need to search for help and get away from them. You are not only frying your brain but you are doing damage to your heart and all the other organs in your body not to mention what HELL you are putting your family through. Stop and just think and pray for 1 minute before you polute your self and ask for help. (Feb 9, 2008 | post #318)

I am disabled and live on a fixed income and there is just NO WAY I would even think about doing some thing like this. I was tought the difference between right and wrong. What comes around goes around and I think that they are going to get way more that what they bargained for. Was it not enough to have a job that gave a pay check every week. Greed is what got them caught and just being a stupid is what got them started. I hope they are all happy and I hope they have to pay 10 times the amount back. (Jan 26, 2008 | post #4)
ITS A SAD DAY TO SEE THIS KIND OF CARRING ON! WV SUX Must have seen some thing he liked to have a wife from WV. Darn shame she did not have since enough to see through your low life way LOL!! I like the state slogan of WILD and WONDERFUL> I would like to see something like "ALMOST HEAVEN, WELCOMES YOU HOME". Seem like every one that does leave this state always comes back. I think it is due to people like that WV SUX person that has a low self worth. If you can't say any thing nice then just be silent. Gotta love this stuff. I think the problem is coming from the church people is because they want the mom and pop places to keep operating. Why? This is just one mas thought and it is mine and as I said it is my opinion and it goes like this, If the church goer goto the track to do there gambling they just might see some one else from there place of worship out there in the far corner trying to make an extra buck. I believe the bible says some thing about obey the laws of the land. If it is legal to do this by law then you do you call it a sin? I pray to God and this is just how I see it. At mom and pop places they can park around the block and sneak in and not worry to much about being caugh by the judgemental especially if you drive out about 30 miles or so. This is a good article and is very infomative with the opinions of a few people. This is a "Field Of Dreams". If you build it they will come! Life is a gamble, period. You gamble every time you get in a car and drive it. It is only common sense to me that if we turn it away and vote no then you might as well get ready to tell the young people of WV Good Bye. No one in there right mind is going to want to make a career out of being a cashier for a fast food chain. The average pay around here is less than 15,000.00 a year and with the price of every thing going up what else can you do but turn and high tail it the heck out of here. I am voting a big fat YES and take a gamble that these folks will come through with there plans. I think what did it for me is the fact it they don't with in 3years of the vote passing is the fact it will cost an extra 2.5 million a year just to renew their license to operate. Meth Lab on Greg Tan Ln in Cross Lanes WV
Could this be the house next door? It seems to have been for the community of Cross Lanes that live on Greg Tan Ln. and for anyone and everyone that just might have past Greg Tan Ln driving by on Big Tyler Road. The Meth house is on the corner where we who live here have driven past for many years and never gave it a thought. What does a Meth house look like? It looks like a regular house with a few cars sitting around, a boat up beside the house and even a swimming pool out back. You can bet that there are children running around and playing in the area! The people there seem to be friendly to all that come by. Was there a smell in the air? Maybe, maybe not. It depends on what time the operation is in progress and if any one was passing by. Why would you do this? I have no earthly idea! Must be BIG money in it or maybe an addiction I just have no idea. There was 10 pounds of finished product found according to the TV news. I think that would be just a bit much for someones personal use, what do you think? Is it worth lossing every thing that you ever worked for or even your freedom? To me I think not! I want to thank the Kanawha County Drug Inforcment Officers for a job so well done and Thank You for working to keep us safe not only in our homes but as we travel the roadways so close to home. If you have a problem with the police dept if it is local you call the county and if it is county call the state police and if it is the state police you can call the FBI and if none of the above works then call your local TV NEWS station and tell them what you can prove. Remember it is what you can prove and not just what you know. If you can get it on the NEWS then they will get a black eye and then the public as a whole will look down on them. I live in Cross Lanes and I have been to the Dog track as many as 2 times a year since it opened up ever how many years ago. The only thing about the gaming tables that I do not like or even want to think of is the added traffic that it is going to put on an already conjested area. There just is not enough road to handle the traffic. They need to make another way in and out. If any thing big would happen like a chemical leak you have all the people at and around the track dead or dying. There is only 1 way in and 1 way out. Where is the safety factor in this. If the vote passes they need to force them to add a new way in and out and not just for emergency situations but always. (Jul 3, 2007 | post #3)
