Well Christy...maybe people from other cities aren't as closed minded as you are and they accept the fact that people are different. What's so bad about being a minority...if it makes me a minority to not be a bigot or to not judge someone...that doesn't bother me in the least...I'm straight..and I don't see why it's so bad to be gay! It is believed that people...not just one or two...but quite a few come into the picture and said that all these things were the word of "God" so who's to say that wasn't what THEY wanted...maybe it was all a lie..and besides that...if you are a christian then why are you judging people...isn't that your "Gods" job? How about this....you could just refrain from clicking on the "gay stuff" forums...I personally don't have any problem with gay people and neither should you unless your just a backwards redneck or maybe insecure about your sexuality. Gay people are humans just like you and I and they have lives and families and love people just like straight people do. They are born that way just as straight people were. Maybe if you would try being a friend instead of an enemy you could get to know a gay person and find out for yourself that they are not bad people....they just happened to be attracted to the same sex....that's the only difference. Have you ever searched a famous teenagers name on myspace....thousands of results come back. There's alot of perverts out there that pose as famous teenagers to lure kids in...and if not watched carefully they can get on myspace IM and talk to them directly and get addresses and phone numbers and who knows what else out of these kids. If you don't know when someone is giong to be sick then they don't either. They may have had to respond from somewhere further than Gilbert. I'm really sorry to hear about your mother dying, that can't be an easy thing to handle. To be honest if you run lights and sirens..most of the time your response is slower due to all the people in front of you weaving in the road..cutting out in front of you and people just straight up ignoring you. And if it's late at night and no one is on the road then lights and sirens are very rarely used because it makes it hard to see and more likely for an accident. And also, the reason for the slow driving when they were almost there..Directions are given and sometimes the crew responding doesn't know exactly where the person lives..so a slow drive when they are almost there is required so the residence isn't passed up..taking more time to turn around and get back to the patient. People don't understand things sometimes, and just because you don't understand something doesn't mean that it's wrong. Please be undrestanding to EMS..I'm sure they did they're best to get there on time. (Sep 7, 2008 | post #84)
