Hey James! What does your new avatar emblem represent? It looks Celtic. ??  (Aug 19, 2008 | post #3077)

I agree, Gracie. A true Christian does not waver in his or her theology based on the the current fads of mankind.  (Aug 19, 2008 | post #3076)

Gunny can stand on his own two feet---quite well, in fact. That's not the point. When a sperosn responds with things like: There is no point in debating you - I think you're probably drunk? maybe... At any rate inbred one while chastising another for their comments, not only is it hypocritical, to say the least, but you've already lost your audience before another word gets read. None of us should have to resort to such hateful comments simply because we disagree with another's POV. That's what *I* was trying to point out.  (Jul 31, 2008 | post #3049)

I totally disagree with this. What is the basis for your statement? I mean, how is this any more true for the 3nd party voters than it might be for the major 2, for example? It's sad that anyone would choose candidate with such tunnel vision but I'm sure it DOES happen. Some people feel so passionately about one particular issue that it's all they see or focus on. I'm very passionate about the murder of babies, for example, and that issue IS very important to me. I cannot vote for anyone who supports it; however, I also look at where a person stands on the other major issues, as well---things like foreign policy, enforcement of our immgration laws, limiting federal involvement in state and personal affairs, etc. I try to base my decision and my vote on the candidate who most CLOSELY represents my beliefs and thoughts about these things. And I don't see it in either Obama or McCain.  (Jul 30, 2008 | post #3044)

Good point, James. I also like the point of the party being CLOSE to what people believe. I don't think it's realistic to think any of us will find a party that is 100% exactly the way we would like to see things done. But these 3rd options seem to be so much more "in tune" with the will of the people than the major 2 do!  (Jul 30, 2008 | post #3041)

And your posts just seem so . . . warm and fuzzy? intelligent? open to discussion? uh huh----and Obama is a saint just waiting to be discovered---in the same category as buying oceanfront property in Albuquerque, NM.  (Jul 29, 2008 | post #3031)

Seems to me we didn't used to be so concerned with unification or trying to please everyone at every level. we were more concerned with upholding the spirit and intent of our Constitution, according the our forefathers---the people who WROTE it.  (Jul 29, 2008 | post #3026)

It would be wonderful to think it COULD happen in this election but I'm scared to think my vote for a 3rd party will come up empty and make it easier to Obmam to "take the cake". The thought of that happening makes me ill. I'm so torn about what to do . . . . .  (Jul 29, 2008 | post #3024)

Woohoo!!! Thanks for the encouragement!!! I hope this Constitution Party will continue to grow in numbers and influence so the next election (2012) might actually make history!  (Jul 29, 2008 | post #3016)

I think we will see a viable 3rd party----but I don't think we'll have enough to be effective for this upcoming election; perhaps the following one. People from both sides are just "fep up" with status qupo politics in this country and the destruction that has ensued because of it. I think enough republicans are jumping ship to make a difference---even some dems.  (Jul 29, 2008 | post #3013)

I'm really beginning to re-think this 3rd party voting issue. I'm just afraid by rebelling and voting for a 3rd party like my heart says I should, I'm actually GIVING a vote to Obmama and the thought of that just horrifies me. Will we be defeating our purpose by going 3rd party?  (Jul 29, 2008 | post #3011)

I agree. For example, the 2 beside Christ. Praise God one of them converted in the nick of time. Were you referring to others?  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #1012)

Oh trust me, I DID!! For about 30 years to be exact. It wasn't FUN! Neither is being a Christian in this world. Christians have a daily struggle that non-Christians don't have----trying to discern worldly desires and expecations to thosee Christ would rather have us living. Being an atheist would have to easier---anything goes!  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #1011)
