I've read the same diatribe 6 times now...write something different dude. Try an original thought ALL tax-paying citizens of any state are entitled to be treated the same as all other tax-paying citizens of that state. The state controls marriage...ergo all consenting adult tax-paying citizens of any given state must be allowed to marry if they so desire. OK so you consider being gay and lesbian to be "not normal" does that mean it's OK to kill gays and lesbians, or to beat them, or to berate and harrass them? Does that justification extend to any other people...how about who cannot or CHOOSE not to have children? I'm happy to stay out of Jamaica but could you please have your country's tourism department stop running ads is the U.S. the encourage all of us to come? At least, have them add a caveat that gay and lesbian people are not welcome in Jamaica...then it's clear...then it's out there and everyone will understand...then if we come anyway, it's our own fault as we are walking into the situation with our eyes open. You sound fervent in your opinion but here in this country we are not all REQUIRED to follow the ways of Jesus...consequent ly I don't and therefore your belief system holds no 'truth' for me. Therefore, I shouldn't be required to abide by the tenets of YOUR belief system. If you don't like gay marriage don't marry someone of the same sex but don't deny that right to others based on your belief system. Yes but your government DOES want our money, they advertise in the U.S. for tourism all the time. So tell your government to kindly change your ads and make it clear that gay people are not welcome in Jamaica. Trust me, we'll be happy to stay away but I think you should be honest in your advertising don't you?
