Senior Pranksters Strike at Baker County High

I think all we did was TP someone's house (I can't even remember whose). At any rate, we didn't cause anyone any damage and it wasn't out of control as was this.  (May 18, 2008 | post #12)

Dallas Megachurch Leader Caught in Online Sex Sting

As a Christian, this story makes me sad and it makes me angry! A profession of faith doesn't make someone a Christian. Just because you are a Baptist preacher that doesn't make you perfect, either. People are people, but dogonnit, preachers are suppose to hold themselves to a higher standard and not get sucked up into this type of behaviour. Every single time a professing Christian sins, we bring shame to the name of Christ. I KNOW, God forgives us, but there are still ramifications from our actions. What if this HAD been a 13 year old girl, what if they DID meet up? He needs to have the book thrown at him. SHAME ON YOU!!!  (May 18, 2008 | post #32)

Fire Temporally Shuts Down I-95

I certainly hope we are not in for another year like we had in 1998! That was a scary year for Jax and other FL cities. I remember the hot ashes sizzle when they hit the swimming pool and left little burn marks on the top of my car because they hadn't cooled down enough. I hope we get more rain, like we had today!  (May 18, 2008 | post #5)

Orangutans Escape Enclosures at Two Different Zoos

That's funny! I was wondering if these two had some psychic thing going on and perhaps staged this escape, perhaps to meet? Maybe they were transported together at one time and just had to see one another again?? Thankfully, no one was hurt!  (May 18, 2008 | post #10)

Morgan Leppert-Should she be tried as an adult?

What the media has provided is not the whole picture. If what has been protrayed is truly what happened, then yes, she deserves to be tried as an adult. However, with this guy she was with being a convicted criminal, who knows what type of mind games he was playing. I don't think we have enough information to provide a verdict at this time.  (May 18, 2008 | post #2)

First Coast Woman Selling Lollipops to Pay for Own Heart Treatment

My hope for Sarah is that what she is doing works for her! My goodness, selling lollipops and working hard to save her own life. Seems kind of sad, but you know what, kudos to her for taking matters into her own hands and not standing in line waiting for a hand-out!! I hope her surgery is successful (new technology--can be scary stuff)! God bless you Sarah!  (May 18, 2008 | post #5)

Boy Steals & Crashes Grandma's Pickup Truck

If you have children, you need to keep your keys with you (on your person) at all times. Now, grant it, who would think a 5-year old would think to do something like this? Kids are liable to do anything at anytime and it is the parent's responsiblity to prevent those things from happening. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt!  (May 17, 2008 | post #4)

Florida Residents Could Face Additional Insurance Surcharge

I would certainly hope that if a surcharge is added, that the folks not being damaged would not be included in that increase. Jacksonville is a bit more fortunate, not to have so many direct hits, so I feel we should not pay as much as say those folks in Miami, Tampa and the panhandle.  (May 16, 2008 | post #5)

Boy Gets Butter Knife Stuck in Head

Kind of reminds me of the story several years ago, about the guy who had one of those big, hunting type knives stuck in his head. He walked into Shands Jacksonville with the handle sticking up out of his skull. No permanent damage, thankfully. I hope no permanent damage done here, either.  (May 16, 2008 | post #2)

Football Star Sidelined After Alcohol-Related Incident

Take responsibility yes, that is the right thing to do, after doing something wrong. It would be nice to hear a story about someone doing right! With a recent death of several teens in the news, teenagers need to wise up and realize it CAN happen to them. I know, it's a rite of passage, but I just wish they (teens) would believe us!! What this kid did was STUPID, just plain stupid!!  (May 16, 2008 | post #16)

Teen Mom Could Face New Charges in Baby's Death

The other thing I wanted to say is, this girl was probably looking for acceptance when she decided to have sex. Instead she ended up with additional heart ache. Our children are looking for the love and affection their parents aren't giving them. People everywhere are hurting and it is so terribly sad! I pray that God sends the right person to this family to help them cope with this horrific thing. Folks, love on your children--love them and spend time with them every day!! God bless!  (May 7, 2008 | post #31)

Teen Mom Could Face New Charges in Baby's Death

The tragedy of this whole thing is there WERE better choices. These kids today want to act like they are old enough to behave like adults, but they can't deal with consequences. She was 15 when she had this baby--15. She wasn't even old enough to drive a car without adult supervision, she most definitely should not have been raising this child. Abortion is NEVER the right response, so thankfully that didn't occur. However, the outcome ended up being the same--she murdered this precious child. Now, she will probably live the rest of her life (or a good portion of it) behind bars. So, so tragic!  (May 7, 2008 | post #30)

Election 2008 - Barack Obama Inching Closer To Democratic Presi...

Quite honestly our choices for president this year are truly not choices. I am torn between voting for McCain, who I do not feel represents the Republican party very well or not voting for president at all. We could vote for Charlie Brown and have about the same outcome.  (May 7, 2008 | post #4)

Family of Man Brutally Murdered Speaks

This is such a sad story. I tell my self, daily, that I have to quit watching and reading the news because it just continues to get worse each day. I don't even know how to verbalize how sad I am for this family. God Bless.  (May 7, 2008 | post #1)
