My son as well calls my husband dad and the other guy by his first name and he wants nothing to do with him. BUT the point of signing over the parental rights is that my son wants his last name changed to our last name and if something were to happen to me my ex could sue for my son. I don't want my children going through that. I do agree with you that my time is not worth it and to let him be. I could careless if I don't ever see him again BUT I worry about my son if something were to happen to me. The law gives his biological father all rights even if he is a jerk. My heartfelt condolences go out to everyone that was invloved. Why don't we leave the investigating to the professionals??? Assuming stuff makes everyone look stupid. Besides we don't want his poor daughter researching this when she gets older and seeing all of this stuff. Bottom line is that we are all human and we all make mistakes some just more tragic than others. We all wish is was preventable and we can hold judgement wherever we are BUT we were not in that car that night! To his baby girl I am so sorry that you have lost your father.
