There is no real turnaround in sight. If you actually go to the sources that have predicted all of the slumps ,recessions, and even wars for the last 30 years they point this out. By the way ,they have been right for 30 yrs. They use to be on all the news. Now that they aren't towing the line on when the nation will be better they have been removed from view. They do have websites thank God. This will take very hard work and maybe more than a decade to fix. We have to start with a fractional Gold Standard with our currency. Less government ,no needless war ,stop intervening where we shouldn't in other countries. These are fundamentals. The Constitution must be followed to restore our great nation back to what it was. Greed in the private sector is ok. Not in Washington and not in partnership with Washington like it has been for decades. I'm hoping for a peaceful revolution but will settle for any kind of one. 2010 elections will be a blood bath. Barring a faked need for a war Obama can't get elected again. But could be replaced with worse. So far all of them has in my lifetime.Other that Reagan of course.  (12 hrs ago | post #3)

It is nice to watch these self important crooks squirm isn't it ? The banks caused so much of this recession because of their greed. In 2006 the first bailout (which no one mentioning) was dispersed at less than 1%. Over a trillion dollars. It never made the news because the Fed charged them interest.They were given this money to loan to small businesses but reinvested it back into 2% bonds more or less. Their greed caused this recession to be far worse than it needed to be. Some estimate that half of the unemployment over 5% is because of this action. So unemployment (21.4% real number when factoring in everyone) would be about 13% (7.5% announced instead of 10.2%).Its payback. I just like watching them fail.  (15 hrs ago | post #2)

As the economy gets worse these things will become more frequent. The economy is not getting better. There will be a double dip inflation hit. Its being delayed right now by pumping money in and halting foreclosures. This is temporary. The second dip will be worse and crime will grow rapidly. OBAMA AND GUN CONTROL

The Constitution has been under attack for decades. This administration has really ratcheted up the attacks. Its sad that someone takes an oath to protect what they have vowed in secret to destroy. Our rights are under attack. We need to stand up and prepare to defend them. That's what our founders were talking about when they wrote the second amendment. I'm thinking the government will be amazed at how many there are out there that will defend the Constitution with their lives if need be. Like they themselves vowed to do.  (Yesterday | post #5)

Every case is different. The Jonathon Ayers case has some hair on it. Having said that. It is protocol when a suspect ,which is what Mr Ayers was, hits or attempts to hit an officer with a car that denotes the use of a deadly weapon against an officer of the law. Same as taking a shot at one. This is standard in every state in the US. Jonathon Ayers had some guilt here too. He was apparently with a known drug dealer. When the officers gave him a command he did not comply. It was a tragedy but the officers did what they were suppose to do. Now that its a political football the officers will have to pay for that. I've read about Mr Ayers. He was probably doing what he felt he was called to do at the time. When an officer yells "police ,freeze". Thats what you do or you take the risk of being killed. Mr Ayers death was terrible to read about. Those officers did not want his car ,did not want to use deadly force ,did not want to have his death on their conscience . That's easy to see. AF just wants to rant about cops.  (Friday | post #12)
