Yes Xbox live rocks! It is like a whole new type of game.. you can actually wear a head set and talk to others on your team! The only thing is he can hear them as well... without the head set because it comes through the T.V.... You can mute some players but many have a very strong vocab if you know what I mean.. but you meet kids his age as well, and get to play them on private games or whatever! so it is great fun.
