8-alarm fire destroys 125 apartments in Conshohocken
Nobody deserves to lose all that they have because of that. That's a mean thing to say. (Thursday Aug 14 | post #22)

I'm amazed that nobody was seriously injured! At least that's good... (Thursday Aug 14 | post #10)
State official: 2 Kutztown kennel operators shot 80 dogs
Can't they be found guilty for shooting in too close of a proximity to houses or something? (Wednesday Aug 13 | post #49)

If it were up to me, I'd stone the kennel owners that shot these dogs. (Wednesday Aug 13 | post #47)
Quakertown Vet Clinic takes advantage of loving pet owners
In my opinion the horse was doomed by colicking that bad in the first place. Been there, done that. Spent the night in the stall with my boy. My decision was to put him down rather than surgery because of the liklihood of recurrence. Fortunatly he pulled through. I won't put an animal through surgery with such horrible odds of success. But, I can say without a doubt, 100% fact, that Randy did awesome work with my TB that had navicular. One of my friend's horses managed to bust out of his stall one evening and ended up splitting his face open from the forlock to darned near the nostrils. Quakertown took care of him. A couple of years later he was pinning at Devon. You could see his skull after the accident - yuck! I couldn't believe what a fine job they did... (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #9)
Quakertown Vet Clinic takes advantage of loving pet owners
I read over the court papers. If the horse survived after all of the proceedures and surgery for colic, in my opinion, Dr. Bimes wasn't to blame. The unfortunate truth is that most horses that colic and have surgery are likely to colic again with worse results. (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #5)
Man escapes serious injury when pickup ends up in creek
I do avoid that road, unless necessary as my friends live right off of Fireline. My avoidance of the road does not make it any safer for others, however. The road could use some work (although that would be very expensive). (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #5)

I hate Fireline Road. It's way too narrow for how much it twists. (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #1)

Quakertown Vet Clinic takes advantage of loving pet owners
I've only had good experiences with Quakertown Vet Hospital. My family has had many dogs over the years and have always used them. I no longer live close to them, but would certainly use them if I were. I've seen first-hand incredible work done by the large animal doctors. They will always be my first choice for ANY equine care - and for the horses, I will gladly pay the additional milage fee. (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #3)

A summer reading list and essays would help the teacher to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the students earlier, therefore making the year (hopefully) more productive. (Friday Aug 8 | post #13)

Local cyclists among those who wore masks
They did address their concerns - by having the masks. This is a health issue, courtesy takes a back seat. If it's a matter of courtesy to subject yourself to breathing in hazardous air, then why the big commotion about smoking in public? Gee, after all of your training in the health field, I would think that you would be pro-safety. (Thursday Aug 7 | post #37)
