Women - What kind of man would you be?
I would be a 'I have spoken type of black man'... A men who speaks little words but my actions and words command respect. I would respect women and treat them with the same regard as the creator. I would be independent, I wouldn't dare ask a woman for anything..not even my mom once I am gone. I would know all the manly things...how to fix cars, things around the house. I wouldn't be a metrosexual, real men are not trendy. My wealth would display in my wife, home...not my closet. I would get my hands dirty...real men are not afraid of hardwork. I would call out other men on their indiscretions..hol d them responsible for their actions. I wouldn't glorify or condone them living off a woman, beating a woman, objectifying a woman, raping a woman..Being an irresponsible dad etc.. I would protect the women in my life, no matter the situation. I would stand up and speak out against misogynistic music, crimes against women. I would be a warrior for my people. Do Black men HONESTLY like a black woman's natural hair???
I have natural hair and I typically attract men who have a true knowledge of self. In general very few men are caught up on hair issues, if he is, the odds are pretty great that he's just not that into you. There really isn't a standard for attractiveness.. I think people are only truly attractive when they are confident in who they are. black women are beautiful and we age well. I personally don't care for fake hair, perms, makeup, colored contacts etc...but if a sisters wears this things and feels just as confident going natural..I view it as a fashion statement. If she does it b/c she thinks her natural hair/state is ugly....I view it as self hate. I also need to add that sisters are not the only ones wearing weave/makeup these days...alot of brothers are adding weave to braids...locks...a nd that is completely unacceptable. Whites don't set the standard of success
we often compare ourselves to whites which is an unfair comparison. They are 400+ years deep in slave money...we are not even 50 years out of the jim crow era. Whites success didn't come from emulating and working for their oppressor, it came from free labor and corruption this enabled the establishment of their own companies to ensure jobs and future success for their offsprings. Why Black Christians Bother Me
You dodge like a well trained running back. I have nothing to gain by tearing you down.. any sister down.. all of my threads are geared towards black empowerment. Some people are more open FlyCity..some inquire why I feel that way and we are all able to hold a discussion. My post are usually geared towards the mature crowd, people who understand a discussion doesn't consist of ...'I told you off' 'I'm right and you're wrong.' The actually respond to the post...not insult and point out a typo. (Friday Aug 1 | post #62)

Why Black Christians Bother Me
Fly City, This is why I opted not to respond to you in the beginning. You never post anything of substance. You rant with a 'let me tell something banter' filled with tic for tac accusations and sophmoric wit. You remind me of an annoying child that keeps interrupting while the grown ups talk. While I continue to converse with the adults...you just keep trying to figure out who judged your post.. FlyCity <-------The only one on topix who cares about post judging! Why Black Christians Bother Me
FlyCity, I assume you enter in the front door of your church and freely participate in church activities at will? Now, would you go if you had to enter the back door? sit in the back? Would your mom...grandparents ...go? Even if they were not allowed to speak their native tongue...and get beat daily for not clearly understanding the foreign one. would you be so gunhoe about the religion, knowing that slavery in America was supported by christians? Would you be so quick to declare yourself christian and adapt the beliefs of the person who kidnapped, murdered, raped, silenced your people/ family?? The ones who stripped you of your native belief, customs, language, religion...and gave you theirs? but wait...when they introduce you to theirs, you are not allowed to read, write, communicate with your peers, you just have to digust what they say wholeheartly....st uff like this.. 'Slaves, be obedient to the men who are called your masters in the world, with deep respect and sincere loyalty as you are obedient to Christ....Work hard and willing...but do it for the sake of the Lord.' I'm curious...would you adopt these beliefs, and christianity w/o question if this was your intro? (Thursday Jul 31 | post #40)
Why Black Christians Bother Me
you seem to be begging for attention... I haven't engaged you b/c the post was directed towards american blacks.. You are not in a third world country, your choice to be christian is on your own accord; it does not compare to that of American blacks. What are your opinions on how christianity was introduced to America blacks? I barely have time to post, nevertheless judge...someone else must be smitten with your profound thoughts. why are you being so exaggerative...I am having a discussion (the one you feel left out of)..not killing myself with hate.
