Race in the '08 election: Will it matter?
To me, age is WAAAY more important than race. Am I gonna vote for someone who listens to Stevie Wonder or Lawrence Welk? (Sunday Oct 12 | post #27)
Minnesota Senate race makes for toxic TV
Do people still watch TV these days? Seems so old fashioned to me. (Friday Oct 3 | post #36)
CNN/Time poll shows Obama leading McCain by 11 points in Minnesota
pumpkin: The schools in Minnesota "stink"? They rate #1 in the USA! My 4th & 6th graders could run circles around most red state students. They could compete with kids in Scandinavian countries where education gets much more attention. St Paul/Minneapolis is a "cesspool of filth"? Have you traveled lately? MSP has the CLEANEST & NICEST inner city in the country. 'nuff said (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #105)
CNN/Time poll shows Obama leading McCain by 11 points in Minnesota
griddy: If not for higher $$$ spent on education, why then does a blue state like Minnesota have a better work ethic and better family values? (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #104)
CNN/Time poll shows Obama leading McCain by 11 points in Minnesota
Yeah, I guess I'm being pretty general. It's my Minnesota Nice showing, I don't want to point fingers and make anyone look bad. OK, here goes anyway.... Have you traveled recently (cities in blue vs. red states)? I'll take St Paul/Minneapolis over Dallas/Fort Worth any day. Seattle, Portland, Madison, San Francisco vs. Houston, Phoenix, Atlanta, etc (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #94)
CNN/Time poll shows Obama leading McCain by 11 points in Minnesota
Look at the map- the blue states are just better/nicer than the red states. The cities with the best quality of life are always in the states with the best educational systems- the blue states. The college towns with the smartest folks of all seem to be the bluest of the blue, and are a pleasure to visit. (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #77)

griddy: So you think the good attributes in our state are here IN SPITE of Minnesotans' past political choices? I want to understand you, please explain. (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #70)

Yes, vote with YOUR WALLET, I have for years. (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #7)
CNN/Time poll shows Obama leading McCain by 11 points in Minnesota
Yep, we're goofy, alright, especially in the Twin Cities. And where have our past political choices gotten us? Biggest per capita Middle Class of any big American metro area. Highest percentage of couples who stay married, and of both employed if parents. Longest life expectancy, best schools, friendliest drivers, best tasting tap water, highest voter turnout, most literate, and second most physically fit metro area in the US. I'd say this is a pretty good place to live. Doofus & naive maybe, but Minnesota is worth feeling smug about, don't you think? (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #46)
Dow down 373 as markets remain skittish
I wonder if the guilty bank CEOs & securities traders will be stripped of their "golden parachute" retirement packages...just curious... (Monday Sep 22 | post #1)
Woodbury plans to cut jobs, increase property taxes in 2009
I live 6 blocks from Woodbury, and I see the huge Michele Bachmann yard signs there as I drive through that burg. Isn't she against all this taxation? Isn't she already in office? If such an anti-tax maven is already in charge there, why are the taxes going up? Just curious. (Sunday Sep 21 | post #2)
'We will win' in Minnesota, McCain vows
It wasn't me who said she was ugly. I think she's HOT! You've mixed me up with someone else's post. Read closer. I'm just sayin' THEY WON'T WIN MINNESOTA. It's obvious. (Saturday Sep 20 | post #21)
