Maybe they just got there in time; not everyone has a portable fire extinguisher, but they probably should. (13 min ago | post #4)
Pelosi, Abortion & St. Augustine
It's obvious YOU'VE never worked as a journalist, or know anything about journalism! When I quote a source, I'm not making the claim, the source is; why do you think the full name and town of most news sources are given? But if I suspected a problem w/a source, the matter would go to my editor, where a decision would be made at that level since reporters are neither censors or lie detectors. (3 hrs ago | post #108)
Is it just a coincidence that ALL of you are Muslims? In fact, the "terrorists " are practcing a more authentic Islam than most so-called Muslims. And how about your nation's relationship w/the Muslims in w/Afghanistan, whose President accused your gov't of turning a blind eye towards these same "terrorists " who too easilly cross your borders into their's. Or the tensions on Pakistan's borders w/India? No peace there, either; maybe the Hindu's should "submit" to the peace of Islam too? Or do your neighbors know Islam better than we do? Realty agent faces theft charge
We don't have to wait for a court hearing on her previous conviction(s): "Police said they later learned Tapley had previously been convicted of credit card theft and fifth-degree larceny." Although the current charges aren't another larceny conviction, there is an emerging pattern here that strongly suggests that something is seriously wrong. (3 hrs ago | post #35)
Ever since oil was discovered in the ME, the Brits have been selling-out the Jews, but there was a recent shake-up in the BBC, so things may start to change. (16 hrs ago | post #5)
Sounds like subtle descriptions right out of the pages of the Associated Press. Many local AP correspondents are Arabs, and some are adept at working digital wonders w/Photoshop! (19 hrs ago | post #3)
Islam is an act of submission that only leads to peace when everyone else is vanquished. And where is all the peace Muslims have supposedly brought us? Your own government is going to war w/your fellow Muslims -- so much for that so-called agreement between Pakistan and its outlying tribal leaders. (19 hrs ago | post #207)

I don't think many Nazis attended RC seminary since the SS was forbidden to have chaplains for most of the war. Journalists accurately record what people say; they're not a court of law and don't have to prove or disprove their sources; you, however, are free to disbelieve them; Media Journalism 102. BTW, I graduated SCSU w/a BS in Journalism in 2004. (20 hrs ago | post #100)
Realty agent faces theft charge
Although she is only currently CHARGED w/one count of sixth-degree larceny, "Police said they later learned Tapley had previously been CONVICTED of credit card theft and fifth-degree larceny." She certainly wasn't innocent of those former charges; something is seriously amiss here. (20 hrs ago | post #28)

Aside from their personal reputations as profesional journalists, they have the fact-checking of "The Guardian" to back them up, i.e., the Allies always made lists of the names of German POWs. To my knowledge, no one has successfully disproven these writers or their article. (23 hrs ago | post #96)
I know what you said, but do you understand what I mean? Islam means submission for the faithful and dhimmi-hood for the unbelievers: a lose-lose proposition. Again, no thanks. (23 hrs ago | post #180)

Sorry, in all the sarcasm, I just missed this. (23 hrs ago | post #28)
"The media is often full of examples of anti-Israel bias. Sometimes those examples are blatant and obvious – and other times they are more subtle ... One glaring example turned up earlier this month in an article by CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour. Discussing a meeting she had with the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, Amanpour wrote: 'Our visit coincided with the events that [Tibetans] commemorate each March 10, the date the Dalai Lama fled Tibet on horseback in 1959 ... The somber remembrance is a little like what the Palestinians do every year. They call it al-Nakba, or "catastrophe, " which marks 1948 when they lost much of their land as the state of Israel.' ... For knowledgeable observers of the Middle East, it’s not hard to spot the holes in Amanpour’s statement. In a scathing review, The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) summed them up well: 'The Palestinians are not the Tibetans, Israel is not China, and 1948 in the Middle East was nothing like 1959 in Tibet.'" Full story at http://www.ifcj.or g/site/News2?abbr= rabbi_&page=Ne wsArticle&id=2 0967&news_iv_c trl=1481 Amanpour, who was CNN's host for "God's Warriors," srikes (yet) again! In rebuttal to both Amanpour, MSNBC's Dan Abrams said: "For each of three nights, CNN devoted two hours to the, quote, 'warriors' of each religion: Jewish, Christian and Muslim. But rather than distinguish between Islamic terrorists who utilize fierce violence to achieve warped goals, and the merely fiercely religious or even just those who fiercely believe in the state of Israel, Christiane Amanpour avoided getting bogged down in objectivity. Christians and Jews, for example, who support Israel's strategy for self-defense are just as much God's warriors, according to Amanpour, as the Islamic radicals who blow themselves and others up in an effort to destroy the world as we know it ..." I disagree; I think the choice was mostly made to appeal to Hillary supporters who are still smarting that Mrs. Clinton isn't anywhere to be found on the Dem ticket. (23 hrs ago | post #18)
