I am a Steelers fan that is what the Rooney's have to do with it and they are a PA team. Only they do not pollute the rest of the state with their drugs like Philly does now do they. Since helmets are optional in PA it doesn't really matter that he got cut off does it. Sure he did not wait the 6 months with a Motercycle Lic. to have it optional but still he was not murdering dogs. As far as you RAPE goes..."The gauntlet has been thrown down for the alleged rape victim provide more details and facts to back up her allegations to strengthen the case, or the lawsuit will be most likely dismissed." This is her second time she has done this. Reno is full of the white trash trying to make a dollar have you ever been there....probably not. I can see you just want to make this a Race issue and there is no point in even trying to do that. We are all humans now can we act like it. I cannot believe anyone picked up Vick. I cannot wait to see what the Seasons holds for the Eagles when they start having to deal with the protests. I am sure they will be set up at every townn the Eagles go to. The Town and the Team has lost my respect. I guess now i will have to just be a 49's fan. Why do you think the drug and crime rate is so high in the area. PA Govt made all kinds of deals to open places like this back in the early 90's and that is what brought the crime and drugs into the area. Do your research. It is a bad idea all around. Our view: Attention divided cannot long endure

A simple phone call saying i will be home in 20 minutes is not distracting. What is distracting and causes people to lose track of driving is the emotional phone calls. The distraction from driving is the emotion. CB's were a way for drivers to not feel alone on the road simple conversation with no thought and just plain simple chatter. I feel phones do not belong in cars. They are good for when you break down in the middle of no where so you do not have to walk miles to the nearest house to use their phone like back in the day. Cell phones are a luxury not a right. Driving is not a right. Just do not talk on the phone while driving it is that simple even if you have a hands free device. The emotional distraction is still there. I do not know where people come off saying it is not fair to pass a law saying you cannot talk on the phone while driving. It has only been ten years since people started doing this and it has been proven in the past ten years accidents have increased along with the cell phone use. Just get over it and if you need to make a call pull over and use it. there is nothing in life that cannot wait a few minutes if it means people will be more safe on our roadways. Our View

Most phone calls are not all that distracting. The problem comes in when it is an emotional conversation or one that takes brain power to complete the answers. I have been in two accidents in where trying to light a cigarette was involved. Again thinking and not paying attention to the road. Normal conversation does not take thought as would a conversation about where you were last night and why you didn't come home. (trying to come up with something believable.) just buy a damn earbud and dont worry about it or put you phone on speaker. I am against cell phone use while driving but then if it where just a normal conversation it is no difference than talking to a passenger. The problem comes in when it is a conversation where your brain is more attuned to the questions being asked and the answers you need to give. Try and do a IQ test while driving having the passenger reading the questions it would be the same thing.  (Feb 11, 2009 | post #17)
