Klamath deal presented to supervisors

Tough sub-issues within issues created by historical decision makers of years ago. At least everyone still appears cordial in trying to accomplish this MAJOR GOAL (dam removal). Got to give credit to those who are working for a solution(s). Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Wednesday | post #5)

Pellegrini to leave Harbor District

Yes, I understand the commission will possibly decide; and, if they don't, on to the county supervisors. So, agendas can be continued by the appointments of those from the community that fill the need for the success of the pre-ordained agenda(s). Further, the way this decision came out after the election, it clearly was a strategic maneuver due to the fact that with the other seats/election-vot es, IF knowing that R.P. was stepping down ahead of the election, the vote counts would have been different - how much is debateable. This is the 3rd "out-of-the-b lue resignation that has occured since FPPC filings for this past election cycle. Again, it is all about the process - TIMING. Headwaters Fund seeking board members

So, politically speaking of course, who is stepping down? Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #1)

Pellegrini to leave Harbor District

It is all about the political process! So, if anyone has noticed besides myself - why the secrecy by appointed officials who are serving terms on various boards/commissions to wait until the last possible moment (in an election cycle year) to reveal their intentions to QUIT? So far, the plan of political manipulation has been (Planning Commission & School Board election openings too) "we are moving". This is just another type of shenanigan that political insiders use to set-up a process that usurps the ballot voting process so that the "general public" is limited to the least amount of foreknown knowledge as possible prior to the actual replacement selection( election date too) which does not want anyone else to know except for the chosen few. Too bad voters can't sense political quitting prior to the countering of the votes. Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #12)

Supes appoint Smith-Hanes as county administrative officer

I believe this to be the only choice when it boils down to quality control and conviction to do the job as best as possible. Smith-Hanes is a no-brainer choice. He has been doing exceptional work and is a honest communicator - I appreciate honest communicators. He takes over for Loretta who also did a fine job for the county, especially in lieu of the financial shell games. Good Luck Phil and Thank You Loretta for your best efforts and hard work. Teen injured in fall from pickup

Maybe the 100-250-500K insurance coverage for personal injury kicks in (if on policy), maybe not. Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Monday Nov 9 | post #26)

Teen injured in fall from pickup

Sad she got hurt but, "who pays for the medical costs associated with this bumblin', bafoonish driving based upon poor self-responsibilit y and one's poor actions?" It should be 100% on the mom, except she could claim a pothole or other obstacle lay in the parking lot caused the injury and that the Fair Grounds is at fault! Pelosi Breaks Pledge to Put Final Health Care Bill Online Before Vote

Pelosi is a 2-faced demon with a facial expression that of a deer staring into bright headlites! In fact, she reminds me of Reagan when Alzheimers Disease was kicking in - brain dead with a wishy-washy, milky eyes look! Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Monday Nov 9 | post #8)

Marina Center process continues to grapple with public lands issue

Valuation (Title)(quitclaim= no guarantee that title is VALID!) Delays = time wasteing for a resolution to tidelands and mineral rights claims (title encumbrancs) starts when the market is over-valuated so that when the Real-Estate market gets dumped like a bad habit, the justification, auction and bargaining for a lower valuation to resolve the title dispute less expensively (monetary stipend) becomes feverishly cursory. New election system gives flawless first performance

In my case, the poll worker read the screen and did all the button pushing as I was clueless as to what he actually was doing. There were no instructions to the voter PRIOR to the ballot being entered into the machine that detailed the "what to do when this happens to your submitted ballot". Also, I did not under-vote or over-vote. So, clearly it is something else as I "triple checked" my ballot for any possible errors. Duffy appoints Mayo to planning commission

Hmmm, I never saw a legal notice posted in the paper or on any BOS agenda for this opening to be appointed (not that it did not happen) - were there other candidates? When did Barbara and Scott decide to move? I ask because Barbara spent money on filing fees to run in a school board election, so timewise, when did Mr. Kelley let it be known he was stepping down? Anyhow, Good Luck Dennis through Jan., 2011! Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Thursday Nov 5 | post #5)

New election system gives flawless first performance

Not flawless when ballots are kicked out of a new machine and a poll worker handles the digital control panel without clearly explaining to the voter what buttons are being pushed for the "kicked out" ballot AND what for are the buttons being pushed in order for the ballot to be countered. I did not ever have this problem with the last voting system. Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Thursday Nov 5 | post #5)

A long match: Overtime win sends TIgers to 2nd round of NCS soc...

Yep, before a NCS match, refs and coaches are to meet with each other after the refs have 1. met with Site administrator to discuss match, 2. fill out section paperwork, 3. discuss tie match procedure, 4. time (clock control with signals), etc... In years past, NCS has e-mailed tie-game procedures for section playoff games (for any deviations to tourney procedures), so, I am amiss as to what exactly the confusion was about when coaches have years of experience, but every year ask questions that prove they don't read the rules on pages 81 & 82 in that little book titled, "National Federation of State High School Associations - Soccer Rules Book, 2009-10". NCS administrators, on the other hand, have their own agenda unbeknownst to the rest of the educational athletic society. FYI - conditioning does more for winning than any other one thing after skills and athletic abilities. Jeffrey Lytle McKinleyville - 5th District  (Thursday Nov 5 | post #2)
